- [One-leg cycling aerobic training with the healthy leg in amateur soccer players after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction]. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: After knee surgery, conventional rehabilitation does not limit cardiorespiratory deconditioning. One leg cycling appears to be an adapted method to stop the effects of hypoactivity.

- [Charcot's disease of the lumbosacral joint in spinal cord injury: a case report]. [Case Reports]Ann Readapt Med Phys. 2008 Dec; 51(9):734-7.AR
- CONCLUSIONS: Charcot's disease occurs sporadically during the progression of certain chronic neurological diseases. It affects the limbs and the spine, where it causes major disc and vertebral damage. In cases of spinal cord injury, Charcot's disease must be considered when faced with the appearance of spinal deformity or the aggravation of neurological symptoms. Treatment of Charcot's disease requires spinal osteosynthesis for the relief of neurological compression and the re-establishment of spinal stability.

- [Contribution of exercise and diet in the management of knee osteoarthritis in the obese]. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: The combination of weight loss and exercise provide better improvements in physical function and pain in obese adults with knee OA compared with either intervention alone. Exercise used alone or associated to dietary provides better improvements in physical capacity and muscle strength.

- [Study of the postural profile and spinal static for menopausal-women with chronic low back pain]. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In menopausal women, chronic low back pain seems to be associated with lower sacal slope, the type 1 of lumbar lordosis more frequent and behindly projection of pressure center.

- Management of low back pain in primary care prior to multidisciplinary functional restoration: a retrospective study of 72 patients. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The time interval before referral to a multidisciplinary care team is long and so GPs should be encouraged and helped to organize this process earlier. It is also essential to determine factors which predict progression to chronic LBP.

- [The contribution of capsular distension to the treatment of primary adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder: a comparative study versus rehabilitation]. [Controlled Clinical Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our results show that capsular distension and subsequent intensive rehabilitation have a beneficial effect. This combination enables rapid, significant improvement from the first week onwards. The improvement phase lasts for one month and may hold steady for up to 12 months.

- Maximal and submaximal treadmill tests in a young adult with fragile-X syndrome. [Case Reports]
- Fragile X syndrome is associated with expansion of a CGG triplet repeat in the FMR1 gene, which abolishes production of the FMRP protein. This abnormality is expressed as a number of neuro-endocrine disorders (the adrenal axis, macroorchidism) and the emergence of significant behavioural stress. Here, we report on the hormonal status of a young adult with fragile X syndrome, with a focus on catec…

- Change of impairment, disability and patient satisfaction after total knee arthroplasty in secondary care practice. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Impairment, disability and patient perceived handicap improved significantly after TKA for osteoarthritis. However, these improvements were poorly correlated with patient overall satisfaction with surgery.

- [Functional and quality of life outcome of non-operated rotator cuff tears]. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our results underline the benefits (in terms of short- and long-term pain reduction, functional improvements and better quality of life) of an individualized rehabilitation programme (combined with medical treatment) in cases of rotator cuff tears.

- CONCLUSIONS: Future studies have to analyse gait disorders in demented subjects in order to clarify their pathophysiology. Besides, they may confirm the benefit of rehabilitation and suggest consensual programs.
