- Expression patterns of circulating microRNA in confirmed early-onset and late-onset pre-eclampsia cases. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In the eoPE, miR-210-3p levels were higher than in controls, with the same trend observed in the sensitivity analysis, although statistical significance was no longer reached (p=0.067). miR-518b showed a numerical, non-significant difference between eoPE and controls. No significant differences were observed in loPE. Given the small sample size and overlap with early-onset fetal growth restriction, these findings should be considered exploratory.

- Risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy in patients with gBRCA-mutated breast cancer. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In real-world setting, RRSO is a common prevention in gBRCAmut BC follow-up. The majority of patients undergo surgery within the first two years following a BC diagnosis. Survival outcomes among patients with BC have improved substantially in recent years. Consequently, developing OC in gBRCAmut BC individuals still remains a risk. RRSO should therefore continue to be offered and discussed in accordance with current guidelines, even in the context of a BC diagnosis.

- Clinical utility of inpatient monitoring for reduced fetal movements in the absence of fetal pathology. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In women presenting with RFM and no evidence of fetal compromise, inpatient monitoring rarely influenced clinical management. Outpatient follow-up with counselling may be a feasible alternative pending further validation.

- Amniotic-Umbilical-to-Cerebral Ratio (AUCR) as a diagnostic tool for predicting adverse perinatal outcome in pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that AUCR is a valuable tool for predicting composite adverse perinatal outcomes in women with preeclampsia. The findings of this investigation may lead to further studies on AUCR, but require prospective validation.

- Female career advancement in obstetrics/gynecology, and urology: a spatio-temporal comparative study over the last 2 decades in Germany. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates persistent gender imbalance in German academic and clinical leadership positions in OB/GYN and urology. The academic and BGclin Indices indicate stagnation and/or decline in gender parity, emphasizing the need for targeted career development programs. Furthermore, a spatial analysis revealed an absence of spatial patterns in German chair holder positions. The continued use of these indices will prove a helpful tool to assess and document changes in the upcoming years.

- High prevalence of magnesium supplementation during pregnancy: results from the LIFE Child study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Magnesium supplementation during pregnancy is widespread. Increasing age, higher SES, and premature contractions seem to have the potential to influence magnesium supplementation during pregnancy.

- A new technique to reposition an incarcerated gravid uterus based on a biomechanical concept. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This procedure provides a viable alternative for reducing an IGU, thereby minimizing the need for more invasive measures that carry considerably higher maternal and fetal risks.

- Life-threatening fetal goiter: diagnosis and outcomes in four consecutive cases with critical appraisal-why this diagnosis is not obviously trivial. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: Prenatal diagnosis of congenital fetal goiter remains a serious condition in specialized centers. In practice, the following crucial considerations might impede proper application of the non-standardized recommendations suggested in available literature. In addition to the assessment of the underlying etiology, the evaluation of fetal cervical structures with determination of fetal tracheoesophageal patency and cardiac functional diagnostics requires adequate practical expertise. Interdisciplinary cooperation is mandatory when determining the time and mode of delivery and planning an ex utero intrapartum treatment (EXIT) strategy.
