- Fallopian tube cytology combined with p53 and PAX-8 immunocytochemistry in diagnosing ovarian carcinoma: a prospective study. [Journal Article]BMC Cancer. 2026 Aug 03; 26(1).BC
- CONCLUSIONS: The combination of tubal cytology and immunocytochemistry could be used as a reliable diagnostic tool for extrauterine high-grade serous carcinoma. Further evaluation of a larger sample size is warranted.

- Longitudinal psychosocial burden, quality of life, and digital supportive care preferences before and after CAR T-cell therapy: a prospective single-center observational study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Patient-reported physical and functional burden was greatest during hospitalization and around discharge and improved by seven to eight weeks after discharge. Brief anxiety/depression scores captured only part of participants' support needs. The findings can inform co-design and prospective evaluation of longitudinal supportive care approaches without establishing intervention effectiveness.

- PD-L1 expression across molecular driver subsets in non-small cell lung carcinoma: a 299-case real-world thoracic oncology cohort. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: PD-L1 high expression was enriched among KRAS-mutant NSCLC in this diagnostic cohort, whereas EGFR-mutant tumors showed a directionally lower but sparse-data-limited PD-L1-high pattern. These findings support integrated interpretation of PD-L1 and molecular driver results in routine practice, but they should be viewed as biomarker-distribution evidence rather than proof of immunotherapy benefit or prognosis.

- A multilevel intervention to improve adherence to prostate cancer active surveillance versus usual care: results from a pilot randomized controlled trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrated a multilevel intervention (MAP) is feasible to deploy and acceptable. Importantly, MAP shows promise in building patient confidence about team-based active surveillance care delivery and increased primary care involvement through targeted education around the role or primary care.

- Impact of previous abdominal surgery on perioperative outcomes after minimally invasive gastrectomy for gastric cancer: an evidence synthesis and quantitative analysis. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Previous abdominal surgery was associated with longer operative time and a small increase in postoperative hospital stay. Its impact on postoperative complications and conversion to open surgery remains uncertain, highlighting the need for individualized surgical planning.

- Single-cell RNA-seq reveals SPP1[+] tumor-associated macrophage population associated with collagen remodeling in anaplastic thyroid cancer. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Targeting the SPP1 axis may disrupt macrophage-driven collagen remodeling and offer new therapeutic opportunities for ATC.

- Landscape of industry-sponsored oncology trials across the Thai Society of Clinical Oncology (TSCO): a 12-year multicenter analysis. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Within participating TSCO-affiliated institutions, ISOTs were largely concentrated in major urban academic centers, particularly Bangkok. While phase III trials remain predominant, early-phase studies and sponsorship from Asian companies have increased. These findings highlight an evolving oncology research landscape and ongoing disparities in trial distribution.

- Pre-treatment prediction of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients using a nomogram based on findings from cone-beam breast computed tomography. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: A nomogram incorporating molecular biomarkers and findings from CBBCT may help predict breast cancer patients more likely to respond to NAC.

- Artificial intelligence in malignant risk assessment of oral lesions: an umbrella review. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Despite methodological limitations in most included reviews, AI models, particularly convolutional neural networks applied to histopathology and clinical photography, show promising early results and potential to approach expert-level sensitivity in controlled settings.

- Tertiary lymphoid structures in the tumor immune microenvironment of EGFR mutation-positive lung cancer are associated with prognosis: a retrospective review. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Higher TLS abundance was associated with improved DFS in EGFR mutation-positive NSCLC, especially in L858R tumors. TLS abundance may reflect a more active cytotoxic immune niche and contribute to differential therapeutic responses; however, mechanistic interpretations require further validation.

- Acid exposure induces pyroptosis in esophageal epithelial cells. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Altogether, this study demonstrated that acid exposure induces pyroptotic cell death rather than cell proliferation in esophageal epithelial cells, suggesting that the cause of esophageal epithelial hyperplasia in GERD may be more complex than just acid exposure.

- The Oxygenation-Nutritional-Inflammatory (ONI) index and the risk of osteoradionecrosis of the jaw in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a continuous multidimensional modeling analysis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: ORNJ appears to reflect a multifactorial process involving radiation dose, dental trauma, and systemic host vulnerability. ONI was independently associated with ORNJ risk and may contribute to individualized risk stratification, although these findings should be considered hypothesis-generating and require external validation.

- Examined lymph node count as an independent predictive biomarker for adjuvant systemic therapy efficacy in stage IB lung adenocarcinoma. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: ELN count is a robust gatekeeper for AST efficacy. An ELN < 11 could help clarify Nx status and serve as a strong clinical indicator suggesting potential benefit from AST in stage IB LUAD.

- Real-world treatment pattern and clinical outcomes in Chinese NSCLC patients with KRAS G12C mutation. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This real-world study provides a comprehensive characterization of the clinical management and outcomes of KRAS G12C-mutated NSCLC in China in the pre-KRAS G12C inhibitor treatment era. First-line chemo-immunotherapy provides independent survival benefit over chemotherapy, with immune monotherapy reserved for carefully selected PD-L1 high cases. STK11 co-mutation predicts extremely poor outcomes (median PFS 3.75 months), representing an unmet clinical need. This study provides an essential historical reference for quantifying their real-world clinical impact.

- Impact of neuropathy severity on hand function, strength, and dexterity in patients with oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Increasing neuropathy severity was associated with poorer hand function, reduced strength, and impaired manual dexterity. Cumulative oxaliplatin dose and sex were significant predictors of neuropathy severity, whereas grip strength and motor neuropathy symptoms were important determinants of hand dexterity performance.
