- CONCLUSIONS: In pediatric glaucoma, the ab externo SIBS microshunt demonstrated reasonable 1-year surgical success rates with few complications, supporting its potential as a therapeutic alternative in selected cases within this population. Long-term, prospective studies are warranted to further assess its durability and safety in this population.

- CONCLUSIONS: Deep learning models showed high diagnostic accuracy in detecting retinal vein occlusion across different imaging modalities. However, the certainty of the evidence, assessed using Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation, was low for all outcomes. Future research should investigate the feasibility and costs of implementing deep learning for RVO diagnosis in real-world clinical environments.

- CONCLUSIONS: Discontinuation of public funding for REEs in 2004 was associated with significant declines in new glaucoma diagnosis billings submitted by optometrists during REEs in delisted-affected individuals aged 20-64, but not in unaffected seniors. This suggests that delisting of publicly funded REEs may hinder detection of new glaucoma cases. Further study is warranted to investigate whether this decline in new glaucoma diagnosis billings is associated with more advanced glaucoma at first diagnosis.

- CONCLUSIONS: From 1997 to 2019, Ontarians' nonemergency eye visits, especially to ophthalmologists, increased, with fewer patients making more visits, whereas emergency visits declined. Rural residents had lower nonemergency but higher emergency visit rates. After 2004, optometrist visits among working-age Ontarians decrease, whereas ophthalmologist visits increased.

- CONCLUSIONS: Chiasmal compression is associated with VF loss, whereas OCT parameters do not consistently change in parallel. When OCT abnormalities are present, they are likely to reflect damage that has already progressed beyond the reversible stage and may serve as a prognostic indicator of limited postoperative visual recovery.
