- Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Angiography Protocol Optimization in Peripheral and Visceral Interventions. [Review]
- Established cone-beam CT angiography protocols exist for neurointerventional, hepatic, and prostatic artery applications, but no widely accepted acquisition framework addresses renal embolization, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, pulmonary vascular intervention, or below-the-knee peripheral disease. This narrative review searched PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library through May 2025 for a…

- Efficacy and Safety of Adrenal Artery Embolization for Idiopathic Hyperaldosteronism: A Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Adrenal artery embolization showed preliminary associations with improved blood pressure and biochemical outcomes without a significant change in serum cortisol. Evidence was predominantly uncontrolled, serious adverse events occurred, and superiority over optimized medical therapy was not established. Randomized trials with standardized techniques and long-term clinical outcomes are required.

- Endovascular Iliac Vein Revascularization Versus Conservative Management for Chronic, Symptomatic Iliac Vein Obstruction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Revascularization reduced venous symptom severity under the primary model, though neither estimate was robust to omitting individual studies, and the VCSS prediction interval crossed the null. Bleeding risk was increased in the largest trial; quality-of-life and pain effects were inconclusive. The evidence offers modest support for revascularization in patients failing conservative therapy, with short follow-up.

- CIRSE Standards of Practice for the Endovascular Management of Acute Lower Limb Ischaemia. [Journal Article]
- Acute lower limb ischaemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate diagnosis and management to avoid catastrophic consequences. As an alternative to open surgical procedures, endovascular intervention is a minimally invasive approach that can be effective in appropriately selected patients, with outcomes comparable to open surgery in contemporary series. The ongoing improvement and expansi…

- Quantitative Comparison of Yettirium-90 (Y90) PET/CT and Y90 SPECT/CT Voxel-Based Dosimetry post Resin Y90 Microsphere Radioembolization. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: After RESIN Y90 TARE for HCC, PET/CT calculated higher TD and lower NTLD than SPECT/CT, correlating strongly but with a potentially clinically relevant systematic bias and wide limits of agreement. The modalities should not be considered interchangeable without modality-specific thresholds or further validation.

- Transrenal Ureteric Embolic Occlusion for Refractory Urinary Leakage and Fistulae: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Ureteric embolic occlusion provides excellent short-term technical and clinical outcomes with minimal morbidity and low re-intervention rates in carefully selected non-surgical patients. However, the available evidence is limited by small retrospective cohorts, heterogeneous outcome definitions, and limited long-term follow-up. Future prospective multicentre studies should standardise definitions of clinical success, assess long-term durability, report nephrostomy-associated morbidity and patient-reported outcomes, and directly compare different embolic techniques and materials used more comprehensively.

- Feasibility and Usability of Head-Mounted Display Augmented Reality During Routine Radiological Interventions: The Prospective AZURION-AR Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The AZURION-AR medical device proved feasible for use during routine interventional radiology offering unanimously rated perceived ergonomic advantages. Although usability was moderate, limitations in image resolution, technical reliability, and battery life require further refinement before reliable routine clinical implementation can be achieved, particularly for procedures requiring high spatial resolution and detailed anatomical assessment.
