- Prognostic Impact of Late Gadolinium Enhancement on Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events and Time-Varying Attenuation of Risk in Dilated Cardiomyopathy. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: LV LGE extent and LVEDVi independently predict MACE in DCM patients. The early prognostic value of LGE extent suggests a critical time window for early fibrosis intervention.

- Epicardial Adipose Tissue as a Dynamic Modulator of Coronary Artery Disease Phenotypes: Pathophysiology and Therapeutic Implications. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: EAT represents a potential therapeutic target across CAD phenotypes. However, whether therapeutic modification of EAT independently improves cardiovascular outcomes remains uncertain.

- Regional Heterogeneity in Ischemic Heart Disease and Ischemic Stroke Burden in Europe, 1990-2023: GBD 2023 and Complementary Mendelian Randomization Evidence. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: IHD and IS burdens declined across Europe, but regional inequalities persisted. GBD attribution and MR provide complementary evidence; cardiometabolic risks remain central, while genetic associations differ between IHD and overall IS.

- Development and Validation of a Prediction Model for Acute Coronary Occlusion in Patients With Non-ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction. [Journal Article]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10).CC
- CONCLUSIONS: This study developed and validated a multidimensional prediction model for ACO in patients with NSTEMI. The model showed acceptable performance and may aid early identification before coronary angiography, although reliance on IL-6, which is not routinely available in all centers, may limit its generalizability.

- An Early Longitudinal Decrease in Platelet Count Is Associated With Poor Prognosis in Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients: A Multicenter Retrospective Study. [Multicenter Study]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10).CC
- CONCLUSIONS: An early longitudinal decline in platelet count was associated with a poor prognosis in patients with AMI. However, this study is observational, and causality cannot be inferred.

- Transcatheter Intervention Is Associated With Visceral Decongestion in Patients With Severe Tricuspid Regurgitation. [Journal Article]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10).CC
- CONCLUSIONS: Successful TTVI leads to visceral decongestion. Renal venous flow currently represents a physiological marker of congestion that may complement conventional echocardiographic parameters; its role in guiding patient selection or timing of intervention remains to be determined in larger studies.

- Mid-Term Clinical Outcomes According to CTO Revascularization Status in Patients With NSTEMI and Multivessel Disease. [Multicenter Study]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10).CC
- CONCLUSIONS: In patients with NSTEMI, MVD, and CTO, complete revascularization involving successful CTO recanalization was associated with improved mid-term clinical outcomes. In contrast, additional revascularization of non-CTO lesions alone was not associated with a prognostic benefit when CTO lesions remained unrevascularized. These findings suggest that CTO revascularization status may warrant specific consideration when revascularization strategies are evaluated in this patient population.

- H2FPEF Score and Charlson Comorbidity Index as Independent Predictors of Cardiovascular Outcomes in Elderly Patients Undergoing Geriatric Rehabilitation. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In geriatric inpatients, a high H2FPEF score is common and independently identifies patients at increased risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes at 1 year.

- Comparative Clinical Outcomes Across Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring Modalities. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Outcomes differed across ACM modalities and vendors, confirming observations in other payer populations. A specific LTCM was associated with higher claims-based arrhythmia yield and lower repeat monitoring than most alternatives, and with lower hospitalization, health care utilization, and costs.

- Diagnostic Performance of a Deep Learning Model Using Phonocardiogram and Single-Lead ECG Signals for Detecting Moderate-or-Greater Aortic Stenosis: Multicenter External Validation. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: The eAS model demonstrated high diagnostic performance for detecting moderate-or-greater AS in a multicenter external validation cohort. AI-based PCG/ECG analysis may support the decision to refer patients from auscultation to echocardiography for AS evaluation.

- Association of Iron Homeostasis With One-Year All-Cause Mortality Among Intensive Care Unit Patients with Atrial Fibrillation: A Retrospective Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Among critically ill patients with AF, ferritin, transferrin and TIBC levels were independently associated with 1-year all-cause mortality. No significant association was observed for serum iron.

- Association Between Hemoglobin Glycation Index and Prevalence of Cardiovascular Disease in Middle-Aged and Older Adults With Hip Fracture: Findings From CHARLS and NHANES. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Elevated HGI was significantly associated with higher CVD prevalence among middle-aged and older adults with hip fracture in the CHARLS cohort, independent of diabetes status. In the NHANES cohort, the association was attenuated and largely non-significant after full adjustment. These heterogeneous findings suggested that HGI may serve as a complementary marker of inter-individual glycation variation in selected populations. Given the cross-sectional design, the results should be regarded as hypothesis-generating; prospective studies are needed to evaluate any potential clinical utility.
