- Trends in Hyperkalemia-Related Sudden Cardiac Death Among Older Adults in the United States, 1999-2020. [Multicenter Study]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10):e70483.CC
- CONCLUSIONS: Hyperkalemia-related SCD mortality has risen substantially, with marked disparities by sex, race, geography, and age. These trends underscore the need for improved potassium monitoring, risk stratification, and equitable healthcare access to reduce preventable deaths.

- Association of RSV Vaccination With Clinical Outcomes in Older Adults With Heart Failure: A Propensity-Matched Analysis. [Multicenter Study]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10):e70488.CC
- CONCLUSIONS: In older adults with HF, RSV vaccination was associated with lower mortality and fewer ICU admissions, without a corresponding reduction in overall inpatient/emergency use or acute-care utilization. These findings are hypothesis-generating and may reflect prevention of severe respiratory illness.

- Screening Strategies for Silent Myocardial Ischemia in Individuals With Diabetes Without Known Coronary Artery Disease: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. [Systematic Review]Clin Cardiol. 2026 Oct; 49(10):e70470.CC
- CONCLUSIONS: In asymptomatic adults with diabetes and no known CAD, routine screening detects occult ischemia or atherosclerosis but has not demonstrated a reduction in MACE or mortality compared with the trial-era usual-care or protocol-defined medical-management strategies studied. These findings do not support routine population-wide screening; selective testing is most defensible when the result is expected to change management.

- From Genomics to Precision Cardiology: A Comprehensive Review of Clinical Applications and Challenges in Cardiovascular Diseases. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Genomic cardiology has substantial potential to advance precision cardiovascular medicine. Continued development of diverse genomic databases, standardized clinical implementation frameworks, and emerging genomic therapies will be important for translating genomic advances into equitable and clinically meaningful cardiovascular care.

- The Regionalization of High-Volume Cardiac Pacing: A Prospective Cohort Study on Safety, Feasibility, and the Learning Curve in a Geriatric Population. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Regional high-volume cardiac pacing programs are safe and vital for equitable geriatric care. With structured mentorship, regional hospitals can overcome historical centralization, safely transitioning to independent high-volume centers and achieving an expert-level safety profile non-inferior to tertiary standards.

- Antithrombotic Therapy in Coronary Artery Aneurysm, Ectasia, and Slow Flow: A Systematic Review. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Intensified antithrombotic therapy may benefit patients with CAE, but evidence remains inconclusive for CAA and CSFP. Large, multicenter randomized trials are warranted to establish condition-specific treatment recommendations.

- Long-Term Renal Function and Clinical Outcomes of Sacubitril/Valsartan in HFrEF and Stage 3-4 Chronic Kidney Disease: A 24-Month Single-Centre Cohort. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In this single-arm cohort of HFrEF with stage 3-4 CKD, S/V was generally well tolerated, with stable renal function and low event rates over 24 months. These descriptive, hypothesis-generating findings cannot establish comparative benefit and require confirmation in controlled studies.

- Outcomes of an Interventional Approach in STEMI and NSTEMI All-Comer Octo and Nonagenarians. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In octo and nonagenarian (N)STEMI patients, stratifying to an invasive strategy with PCI/CABG appears to be feasible and is associated with improved mortality outcomes. This benefit is predominantly observed in patients with NSTEMI. Stratification can be done immediately on common clinical variables and appropriate shared decision-making.

- Targeted Superior Vena Cava Isolation Combined With Pulmonary Vein Isolation Versus Pulmonary Vein Isolation Alone Using Cryoballoon Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Cryoballoon-based targeted SVC isolation guided by systematic mapping and provocation maneuvers significantly enhances freedom from atrial tachyarrhythmias without compromising safety.

- Closed-Loop AI Systems for Arrhythmia Management: Toward Predictive, Personalized, and Safe Cardiac Care. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Closed-loop AI extends established electrophysiologic control principles rather than replacing clinical judgment. Embedded within transparent, governed architectures with bounded adaptation and human oversight, such systems may improve the personalization, safety, and outcomes of arrhythmia care.

- Prospective Evaluation of Quality-of-Life Improvement After Dapagliflozin Initiation in a Greek Population With HFrEF: The EVOLUTION-HF 12-Month Results. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Dapagliflozin was safe and well-tolerated throughout the observation period. Although benefits are observed in most patients, individuals aged > 65 years, with prior myocardial infarction, or recent hospitalizations show a diminished response, underscoring the need for tailored management and closer follow-up in these higher-risk groups.
