- Gold and Nickel Release From Jeweller-Purchased 10K and 14K Gold Earrings in Cysteine-Modified Artificial Sweat. [Journal Article]Contact Dermatitis. 2026 Sep 30. [Online ahead of print]CD
- CONCLUSIONS: Jeweller-purchased 10K/14K gold earrings released measurable gold but not detectable nickel under cysteine-modified artificial sweat conditions. Gold release provides a plausible exposure pathway but does not establish sensitization or elicitation risk.

- Beyond HEMA: Shifts in the (Meth)acrylate Composition of Matched Nail Cosmetics Between 2023 and 2026. [Journal Article]Contact Dermatitis. 2026 Sep 30. [Online ahead of print]CD
- CONCLUSIONS: Among matched nail cosmetics, ingredient lists indicated that the use of HEMA and Di-HEMA TMHDC decreased by approximately 75% over 3 years, while the use of several other (meth)acrylates changed substantially. Few products containing HEMA and/or Di-HEMA TMHDC appeared to be marketed directly to consumers.

- Tin Sensitization in Belgium and the Netherlands: Complementary Findings From Two Independent Retrospective Studies. [Journal Article]Contact Dermatitis. 2026 Sep 23. [Online ahead of print]CD
- CONCLUSIONS: Tin sensitization appears to be more common than previously recognized. Although (peri)oral involvement was the predominant clinical presentation, periorbital dermatitis was also frequently observed amongst patients with clinically relevant sensitization.

- Occupational Allergic Contact Dermatitis From Over-Ear Headphones: Chemical Analysis Reveals Octylisothiazolinone and Other Potential Skin Sensitizers. [Journal Article]Contact Dermatitis. 2026 Sep 10. [Online ahead of print]CD
- CONCLUSIONS: Over-ear headphones may contain reproductive toxicant such as DMF, as well as several sensitizers, including TPP, OIT and IBOA. Under the EU REACH Regulation, the use of DMF is restricted, TPP is listed as a Substance of Very High Concern, whereas OIT and IBOA are not subject to specific restriction. Across both occupational and non-occupational settings, the use of over-ear headphones may cause contact dermatitis due to exposure to various chemical substances. Our findings may serve to explain these and future cases.
