  • Emerging Therapeutic Strategies for Graves' Disease: Current Advances and Future Perspectives. [Journal Article]
Curr Pharm Des. 2026 Oct 09. [Online ahead of print]Antonelli A, Fallahi PCP
  • Graves' Disease (GD) is the leading cause of autoimmune hyperthyroidism and is still considered a challenging clinical condition. Antithyroid drugs, radioactive iodine, and thyroidectomy have long been used as main treatments. These approaches are generally effective in restoring euthyroidism and controlling thyroid function, even if they cannot target the underlying autoimmune mechanisms implica…
  • Dietary Acrylamide-Glycidamide Exposure and Metabolic Toxicity: Emerging Evidence in Type 2 Diabetes. [Journal Article]
Curr Pharm Des. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]Jena D, Dey A, … Mishra KCP
  • CONCLUSIONS: Dietary acrylamide exposure may adversely affect glucose homeostasis, insulin sensitivity, and pancreatic β-cell function, thereby contributing to the development and progression of T2D. Although current evidence supports a potential association, further high-quality clinical and epidemiological studies are required to establish causality and inform evidence-based preventive strategies.
  • Lipid-based Nanocarriers for Atorvastatin Delivery: Current Developments and Clinical Translation Prospects. [Journal Article]
Curr Pharm Des. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]Chaudhari K, Gudhanti SNKRCP
  • Atorvastatin is a well-established first-line medication for treating dyslipidemia, but has significant drawbacks of low aqueous solubility, extensive first-pass metabolism, and limited oral bioavailability. Over recent years, lipid-based nanocarriers have emerged as a viable platform to improve atorvastatin's pharmacokinetic profile by enhancing solubility, facilitating absorption via the lympha…
  • A Review on Mechanisms of Action and Signaling Pathways of Natural Anti-hyperpigmentation Agents. [Journal Article]
Curr Pharm Des. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]Khanna J, Mehra A, … Bedi NCP
  • Hyperpigmentation is a dermatological condition characterized by excessive melanin production, resulting in skin darkening. Intrinsic and extrinsic mediators, including ultraviolet (UV) radiation, hormonal changes, inflammation, and genetic predisposition, contribute to hyperpigmentation pathogenesis. The current review thoroughly examines the biological processes involved in hyperpigmentation, w…
