- Cell Therapy for Heart Failure and Myocardial Infarction: Evidence Evolution and Translational Challenges Over Two Decades. [Journal Article]Curr Stem Cell Res Ther. 2026 Sep 29. [Online ahead of print]CS
- CONCLUSIONS: Preclinical diversification has continued despite contraction of clinical activity, indicating that innovation has outpaced clinical translation. This bibliometric analysis identifies where the animal-clinical gap is concentrated and provides an evidence map for prioritizing reproducible, mechanism-informed, and clinically feasible strategies; it does not establish therapeutic efficacy.

- Stem Cell-Derived Exosomes Therapy for Spinal Cord Injury: Mechanisms and Prospects. [Journal Article]Curr Stem Cell Res Ther. 2026 Sep 28. [Online ahead of print]CS
- Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a severe neurological condition often leading to enduring motor, sensory, and autonomic dysfunction. Its pathophysiology involves primary mechanical damage followed by secondary injury processes including axonal disruption, demyelination, excitotoxicity, neuroinflammation, vascular dysfunction, and cell death. Effective treatments that restore neurological function rem…

- Repairing large bone defects is still not an easy task and is considered an important challenge in regenerative medicine and maxillofacial surgery. The methods that currently exist each have their own limitations. Bone grafting from the patient's own body is known as the best method, but it is not always possible. This is because the donor site may get damaged, the amount of bone that can be take…

- The Current Landscape and Prospects of iPSCs in BCMA-targeted Therapy for Multiple Myeloma. [Journal Article]Curr Stem Cell Res Ther. 2026 Sep 23. [Online ahead of print]CS
- Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a difficult-to-treat plasma-cell malignancy with heterogeneous pathogenesis and a poor prognosis. Given the limitations of existing treatments, developing approaches that improve efficacy and safety and ultimately achieve long-term remission or even a cure for MM is crucial. The high expression of B-Cell Maturation Antigen (BCMA) on malignant Plasma Cells (PCs) makes BCMA…

- Mechanisms and Therapeutic Advances of M2 Macrophages and Mesenchymal Stem Cell-derived Exosomes in Diabetic Wound Healing. [Journal Article]Curr Stem Cell Res Ther. 2026 Sep 15. [Online ahead of print]CS
- Diabetic wound healing remains one of the most significant clinical challenges for surgeons and endocrinologists, given that impaired immune regulation and blocked local tissue repair universally occur in diabetic wound microenvironments. M2 macrophages and exosomes derived from Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC-Exos) have emerged as promising therapeutic candidates, owing to their core functions in im…

- Evaluation of Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) in Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (PAOO) for Enhancing Alveolar Bone Thickness and Reducing Orthodontic Treatment Duration-A Pilot Clinical Study. [Journal Article]Curr Stem Cell Res Ther. 2026 Sep 09. [Online ahead of print]CS
- CONCLUSIONS: This first-of-its-kind pilot clinical study using DPSCs in PAOO demonstrated that both PAOO approaches, with and without DPSCs, reduced orthodontic treatment time and maintained alveolar bone thickness compared with conventional orthodontics. However, the improvement with DPSCs was modest and statistically non-significant. Future large-scale, longer-duration clinical trials are needed to validate the DPSC-based PAOO approach for routine clinical application.

- An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a serious vascular disease characterized by progressive dilation of the abdominal aorta, resulting in an increased risk of rupture. AAA develops through multiple pathogenic mechanisms, including chronic inflammation, extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation, oxidative stress, and vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) apoptosis. Surgical intervention is the primary…
