- Development of a Structured Neurodevelopmental History Tool (ASNE/SNHQ): Delphi-based content validation and positioning within French neurodevelopmental care pathways. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 21. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: ASNE fills an important gap between screening instruments and standardised assessment tools by providing a structured, parent-completed developmental history that is immediately usable during specialist consultations. It supports more comprehensive and standardised information collection within French neurodevelopmental care pathways. Future studies should evaluate its feasibility, acceptability and psychometric properties in routine clinical practice.

- Psychiatric seclusion: Patient and staff experience - A mixed-methods study. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 21. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: The consistent gap between patient and staff perceptions, gender-related vulnerability, the association between perceived relational availability and perceived benefit, and distortions in time perception suggest the potential value of structured post-seclusion debriefings and trauma-informed approaches to foster recovery and strengthen the therapeutic alliance.

- [Digital phenotyping in psychiatry: Concepts, systems, and clinical implications]. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 21. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: Digital phenotyping may complement clinical interviews and improve the study of individual trajectories, but it does not provide an exhaustive representation of mental states or constitute a validated biomarker in itself. Its clinical value depends on methodological reproducibility, robust infrastructures, demonstrable decision-making utility, and contextual interpretation by clinicians.

- [Therapeutic chatbots in psychiatry: Between relational simulation and the reshaping of care]. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 21. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: Therapeutic chatbots should not be considered substitutes for clinicians, but rather hybrid components of distributed care systems combining human interaction, digital monitoring, and behavioural intervention. Their responsible integration requires robust clinical validation, transparent governance, respect for patient autonomy, and continued human supervision.

- [Artificial intelligence in child and adolescent psychiatry: A critical review of uses, evidence and relational stakes]. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 21. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: AI offers genuine opportunities for detection, monitoring and some interventions in child and adolescent psychiatry, on the basis of evidence that remains limited and rarely tested in routine care. In a developing population, the integration of these tools must remain subordinate to clinical judgement, reinforced data protection and the centrality of the embodied encounter. AI should be conceived as an adjunct to care, not a substitute for the therapeutic relationship.

- Factorial validation of the PC-PTSD-5 in the adult Quebec population. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 16. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: The results confirm the existence of a unidimensional structure for the PC-PTSD-5 scale items related to the COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, using the total score of the five items is appropriate. Given its excellent psychometric properties and brevity, its use is recommended among the adult population of Quebec.

- The Integrative Temporal Identity Model (TIM-E) for complex psychotrauma: A randomized comparative pilot study. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 16. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: Despite significant limitations (small sample size, lack of blinding and active control), these results suggest that a temporality- and identity-focused integrative program could improve not only PTSD symptoms but also the DSO of CPTSD. Larger randomized controlled trials, including clinician-administered diagnostic measures and mechanistic mediators (future projection, identity continuity), are warranted.

- Autistic burnout: Early insights from a systematic review on characteristics, precipitating factors, and protective mechanisms. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 16. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: This review highlights the lack of knowledge among professionals about autistic burnout and emphasizes the detrimental impact this can have on patient care. Autistic burnout being a new study subject, further research is necessary to deepen conceptual clarity and explore the nuanced dimensions of this phenomenon. Future work should strive to improve representativity in their study.

- French psychiatric caregivers' perceptions of psychedelics: A national survey. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Oct 16. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: French psychiatry caregivers are aware of the growing interest in psychedelics and express moderate support for their medical use. Clinical practice with ketamine appears to play a pivotal role in shaping favorable attitudes. As France embarks on clinical trials with psychedelics, caregiver perspectives are likely to evolve, warranting further surveys in the coming years.

- French validation of the short version of the ASA questionnaire: An exploration of the socio-technical imaginaries and cosmology of Socially Interactive Agent evaluation. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Sep 24. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: This study contributes to bridging the gap between the evaluation frameworks of HCI and the clinical frameworks of psychiatry, toward a more integrated understanding of digital relationality. Recognizing and interrogating the underlying socio-technical imaginaries and cosmology beyond the ASAQ is essential for any future adaptation of the ASAQ within mental health contexts.

- Sexual craving as a core process in dysregulated sexual behaviors: Psychometric validation of the Short Scale of Sexual Craving (3SC). [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Sep 24. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: The 3Sc demonstrates preliminary psychometric support as a brief, process-centered, and non-moralistic screening tool for sexual craving across heterogeneous DSB. These findings support a reorientation of DSB assessment, from classifying behavioral content toward identifying how sexual urges are regulated, and provide an empirical operator for examining addiction-informed hypotheses without presupposing their validity.

- Acceptability of artificial intelligence in psychiatry: A script-based and network analysis study among French psychiatrists. [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Sep 23. [Online ahead of print]E
- CONCLUSIONS: The acceptability of AI in psychiatry depends less on technical performance than on its alignment with professional values and clinical reasoning. AI is more readily accepted as a support to clinical judgment than as an autonomous system. These findings suggest that the successful integration of AI will require the development of epistemically compatible systems that preserve clinician autonomy and the therapeutic relationship.

- Are online poker players motivated to expend effort for monetary rewards? [Journal Article]Encephale. 2026 Sep 19. [Online ahead of print]E
- Motivation in poker players has typically been studied through monetary incentives rather than physical effort expenditure. In this exploratory study we hypothesized that poker players' protected decision-making performance might be associated with a heightened willingness to exert effort for monetary rewards. We recruited 69 participants: 49 online poker players, 20 classifieds as low-risk gambl…
