- External Validation of Existing Nomograms on Indian Prostate Biopsy Data. [Journal Article]Int J Urol. 2026 Nov; 33(11).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Current Rc demonstrate good applicability (in terms of calibration analysis and discriminatory ability) for prostate cancer prediction in Indian men. The observed net benefit is greatest for individuals with PSA 10-20 ng/mL and PIRADS-3 lesions, and is shown by SWOP-RC for PCa and PCRC-MRI and the Japanese nomogram for csPCa.

- A Trial-Level Benefit-Toxicity Mapping Framework for Adjuvant Therapy in Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Focused Review. [Review]Int J Urol. 2026 Nov; 33(11).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Trial-level benefit-toxicity mapping contextualizes adjuvant RCC trials by integrating DFS benefit, toxicity burden, treatment-limiting events, and risk composition, without implying direct cross-trial ranking.

- PSMA Theranostics for Prostate Cancer: Evidence, Pitfalls, and Implementation in Japan. [Review]Int J Urol. 2026 Nov; 33(11).IJ
- Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a Type II transmembrane glycoprotein markedly overexpressed on prostate cancer cells, enabling a single molecular target to support both positron emission tomography (PET) imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy. Over the past decade, PSMA-PET/CT has been incorporated into international guidelines for primary staging of high-risk prostate cancer and …

- Clinical Efficacy of Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy for Male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms: A Retrospective Pilot Study. [Journal Article]Int J Urol. 2026 Nov; 33(11).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Li-ESWT was associated with improvements across voiding, storage, pain, and QOL domains, with no adverse events observed. These findings suggest that Li-ESWT may have potential as a treatment option for male LUTS, although prospective controlled studies are needed to confirm its efficacy.

- CONCLUSIONS: In Japanese real-world practice, EVP was frequently used in older, renally impaired, cisplatin-unfit patients. Response was clinically meaningful among evaluable patients, but interpretation requires caution because of short follow-up and denominator-dependent response estimates.

- CONCLUSIONS: Among middle-aged Japanese men, the prevalence of ED varied substantially according to the assessment method, while EHS-defined ED was associated with lower overall sexual satisfaction despite substantial overlap in satisfaction scores. These findings support considering both erectile function and subjective sexual satisfaction when assessing sexual health.

- CONCLUSIONS: Comparisons of published median overall survival across real-world cohorts may be misleading. These study-level findings are descriptive and hypothesis-generating and do not support causal comparison of avelumab across cohorts.

- Maternal Parenting Styles and Nighttime Diaper Use in Early Childhood: The Japan Environment and Children's Study. [Journal Article]Int J Urol. 2026 Oct; 33(10).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Maternal parenting styles were associated with nighttime diaper use at age 3 and its persistence at age 4. Although nighttime diaper use is not a direct measure of nocturnal continence, these findings suggest that maternal caregiving context may be relevant to early nighttime diaper discontinuation before school age.
