  • Atrial Septostomy and Left Ventricular Venting During Peripheral VA-ECMO. [Journal Article]
JACC Adv. 2026 Oct 16; 5(11 Pt 2):103344. [Online ahead of print]Kapoor AB, Stouffer J, … Rali ASJA
  • CONCLUSIONS: Among patients receiving peripheral VA-ECMO for CS, BAS achieves atrial-level decompression and may provide durable LV venting in select patients, although venting failure remains common. Observed arterial pulse-pressure trajectories differed according to eventual LV venting failure status.
  • First-in-Human Permanent Totally Leadless Left Ventricular Septal Endocardial Pacing With Atrioventricular Synchrony. [Case Reports]
    JACC Case Rep. 2026 Oct 16; :110628. [Online ahead of print]Dababneh E, Brown P, … Gould PAJC
  • CONCLUSIONS: This case demonstrates proof of concept for a fully leadless atrioventricular-synchronized system capable of delivering left ventricular septal endocardial pacing without right ventricular pacing dependency, offering a physiological pacing strategy for selected patients. This novel totally leadless architecture is a proof of concept for a more physiological pacing option for pacing-dependent patients while avoiding transvenous lead-related complications.
  • Coronary Visual Intelligence System (CorVIS) Guided Complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. [Case Reports]
    JACC Case Rep. 2026 Oct 16; :110994. [Online ahead of print]Wang D, Gao Q, … Li YJC
  • CONCLUSIONS: These cases suggest that artificial intelligence-based 3D CCTA reconstruction may complement conventional imaging for preprocedural planning of complex PCI. The efficacy of CorVIS in facilitating complex PCI remains to be verified in further prospective studies. In this initial case series, CorVIS delivered freely rotatable 3D CCTA reconstructions and plaque characterization, informing key procedural decisions for complex PCI.
  • Recurrent In-Stent Restenosis and Accelerated Neoatherosclerosis in a Middle-Aged Woman With High Inflammatory Burden. [Case Reports]
JACC Case Rep. 2026 Oct 16; :110991. [Online ahead of print]Li W, Han W, Wang ZJC
  • CONCLUSIONS: Literature highlights that targeting upstream inflammation is critical when standard therapies fail to halt malignant neoatherosclerosis. This case interests readers by demonstrating compliance optimization via long-acting agents and navigating advanced anti-inflammatory pathways (colchicine escalation, canakinumab) for refractory ISR.Biomarkers like interleukin-6 must be evaluated in refractory ISR; persistent residual inflammation warrants advanced anti-inflammatory therapies or early surgical revascularization.
