- CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that DL analysis of lumbar radiographs, combined with transfer learning and metaheuristic optimization, may support BMD category classification as a complementary screening tool. This approach may provide a reliable, non-invasive, and accessible alternative to DEXA for osteoporosis screening and diagnosis.

- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings identify a microbiota-dependent osteoimmune axis that amplifies inflammatory bone loss in TTP deficiency. This work establishes the gut microbiome as a mechanistic modifier of bone quality in genetically driven inflammatory disease and highlights microbial targeting as a potential therapeutic strategy for inflammatory bone loss.

- Assessment of bone involvement by DXA and HR-pQCT in patients with X-linked hypophosphatemia. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our study sheds light on the involvement of both trabecular and cortical compartments in the XLH group, despite conventional treatment. We also emphasize the limitation of DXA in assessing central sites in the XLH group. The 33% radius may represent a useful complementary skeletal site for DXA assessment, particularly when HR-pQCT is not available.

- Evaluating Haversian canal-to-osteon ratios for reconstructing bone remodelling activity: balancing precision and efficiency in data collection. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The pooling technique indicated the presence of thicker lamellar bone within secondary osteons, suggesting greater quantities of bone formed during BMU activity, than the paired technique results, which suggested less bone formed per BMU. While pooling offers efficiency in data collection and analysis, we show that paired data yield more biologically precise and analytically flexible results at an individual BMU level.
