  • Do treatment parameters of dry needling influence its effect on pain? A systematic review and meta-analysis. [Review]

  • CONCLUSIONS: Considering neck pain, the current evidence does not allow a reliable dose-response relationship between DN parameters and pain outcomes to be identified. Substantial heterogeneity, incomplete reporting, and high risk of bias indicate that the findings should be interpreted cautiously and highlight the need for more research to be able to inform clinical decision-making and optimize treatment protocols.
  • Neural mobilization in cervicogenic headache: a scoping review of current evidence. [Review]
    J Man Manip Ther. 2026 Oct 03; :1-11. [Online ahead of print]Vaid N, Kanika , … Jangra MKJM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Current evidence indicates that neural mobilization is a promising adjunct within multimodal physiotherapy management of CGH. However, the available evidence is insufficient to establish its independent therapeutic effectiveness. Further well-designed studies using standardized neural mobilization protocols, appropriate comparator groups, and longer follow-up are required to strengthen the evidence base.
  • Manual therapy treatments in the management of pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain: a scoping review. [Review]
J Man Manip Ther. 2026 Sep 29; :1-15. [Online ahead of print]Juneja H, Hansen AG, … Lindahl MJM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Overall, the findings indicate that manual therapy is associated with consistent short-term reduced pain intensity; however, the magnitude of these effects is generally small to moderate, suggesting a potential but not definitive clinical benefit. Considerable heterogeneity was observed across studies regarding diagnostic criteria, intervention protocols, and outcome measures. Confidence in the findings of is further constrained by methodological limitations of the studies, underscoring the need for methodologically rigorous studies with standardized diagnostic criteria, treatment protocols, and longer follow-up periods to determine the efficacy of manual therapy for pregnancy-related PGP.
