- Rituximab With or Without Chemotherapy for Anti-MAG Neuropathy: A Retrospective Multicenter Real-World Study. [Multicenter Study]J Peripher Nerv Syst. 2026 Dec; 31(4):e70175.JP
- CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort, adding chemotherapy to RTX was not associated with greater long-term improvement, despite a higher rate of adverse events. Prospective controlled studies are needed.

- Cardiovascular Autonomic Neuropathy in Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease: A Genotype-Stratified Study of PMP22 Duplication and GJB1 Mutation Carriers. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: CAN affects approximately one-third of patients with CMT1A and CMTX1, roughly three times the control prevalence. Overall prevalence was similar in the two genotypes, but Valsalva impairment was confined to CMT1A, indicating that similar prevalence does not imply an identical pattern of involvement. Cardiovascular autonomic assessment warrants consideration in these patients, particularly perioperatively.

- Fampridine for Symptomatic Treatment in Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy: A Randomized, Double-Blinded, Placebo-Controlled Crossover Study. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our study did not provide evidence that fampridine improves clinical function in CIDP patients with residual disability during stable immunoglobulin therapy. Targeting ion channel dysfunction in CIDP remains of interest, but alternative strategies may be required.

- Newly Developing IgM Anti-GD1a/GD1b Ganglioside IgM Monoclonal Gammopathy in a Patient With Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy. [Case Reports]J Peripher Nerv Syst. 2026 Dec; 31(4):e70174.JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Patients with CIDP may be predisposed to develop IgM autoantibodies or monoclonal gammopathies. If a patient with CIDP experiences clinical worsening while on maintenance therapy, it may be helpful to test for anti-ganglioside antibodies and monoclonal gammopathies and reassess if alternative treatment would be useful.

- High Resolution 3-T Magnetic Resonance Tractography Cannot Localise Conduction Block in Multifocal Motor Neuropathy With Conduction Block. [Journal Article]J Peripher Nerv Syst. 2026 Sep; 31(3):e70164.JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Existing DTI and STIR techniques cannot identify useful characteristics of MMNCB pathology in forearm nerves. Whilst statistically significant group differences can be identified, inspection of individual images cannot identify consistently found abnormalities, and the differences are too small to be clinically useful.

- Impact of Baseline Polyneuropathy Severity on Eplontersen Efficacy in the NEURO-TTRansform Clinical Trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: Consistent, sustained benefits of eplontersen were observed regardless of baseline ATTRv-PN severity. These findings strengthen the importance of early treatment initiation for patients with ATTRv-PN across the disease spectrum.

- Complement-Regulated Nodal Vulnerability in Guillain-Barré Syndrome and CIDP. [Review]
- The immunobiology of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) has long been organized around a dichotomy: acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN) is an antibody-mediated nodal disorder, whereas acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP) has been interpreted mainly through T-cell-mediated models of compact-myelin injury. Four successive findings challenge this separation. Intraneural injection of GB…

- Hypoxia-Induced Lactylation of NSUN3 Promotes m5C Methylation of SETD2 to Regulate Peripheral Nerve Injury Repair. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Intermittent hypoxia facilitated the regeneration of injured DRG neurons through lactate-mediated NSUN3 lactylation. This process was correlated with the stability of SETD2 mRNA via m5C modification, thereby mitigating cellular senescence and promoting mitochondrial function. These findings present novel targets for strategies aimed at nerve repair.

- Neuropathy in Val122Ile Hereditary Transthyretin (ATTR) Amyloidosis: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Neuropathy is underrecognized in Val122Ile ATTR Amyloidosis, is frequent at disease onset, may be the sole manifestation, and may occur in White persons. CTS frequently preceded neuropathy, usually an axonal polyneuropathy, although atypical patterns were observed. This variant clusters in the Northeast region of Brazil.
