- Implant-supported overdenture placement after fibula flap-based mandibular reconstruction using guided bone regeneration with titanium mesh and tenting screws: A clinical report. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 21. [Online ahead of print]JP
- A 63-year-old man underwent segmental mandibulectomy for ameloblastoma, followed by fibula free-flap reconstruction. As the bone volume was inadequate, guided bone regeneration (GBR) was performed using iliac particulate cancellous bone and marrow, titanium mesh, and tenting screws. After consolidation, 4 implants were placed, and restoration was completed with a computer-aided design and compute…

- Experimental approaches for evaluating the fracture resistance of removable complete dentures: A systematic review of in vitro studies. [Review]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 20. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Significant heterogeneity exists in experimental approaches for complete denture fracture resistance testing. Clinically relevant methodologies should incorporate physiological loading, mucosal simulation, and standardized reporting. The development of consensus-driven testing protocols is required to improve cross-study comparability and enhance the translation of in vitro findings to clinical practice.

- Integration of the neutral zone impression technique into a digital workflow for removable complete denture fabrication: A clinical report. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 21. [Online ahead of print]JP
- This clinical report describes a digital workflow integrating the neutral zone technique for fabricating removable complete dentures in a patient following mandibular resection and radiotherapy. A functional neutral zone impression was scanned and used to guide tooth arrangement and the design of the removable complete dentures. The definitive removable complete denture demonstrated satisfactory …

- Salivary flow and oral health-related quality of life in edentulous denture stomatitis positive individuals: A randomized clinical trial. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 20. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Both therapies were associated with improved OHRQoL in complete denture wearers with DS. These improvements occurred alongside reductions in denture stomatitis severity, while salivary flow remained stable, suggesting a multifactorial process involving clinical and behavioral factors.

- Effect of ultrasonic chemical cleaning solutions on different dental interim restoration material properties. Part I: Physical properties of color stability and surface roughness. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 20. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Ultrasonic chemical cleaning solutions affect the physical properties of interim materials. Material-solution compatibility should be considered to avoid compromising restoration quality.

- Vertical dimension of occlusion restoration using a digital injectable composite resin technique: A 5-year clinical follow-up. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 20. [Online ahead of print]JP
- This technique article describes a digital protocol for oral rehabilitation using injectable flowable composite resin. The method integrates intraoral scanning, digital smile design (DSD), and 3-dimensionally (3D) printed diagnostically waxed casts to fabricate silicone matrices for the sequential injection of composite resin. This technique successfully restored the patient's vertical dimension …

- Effect of fixed prosthetic restorations on early patient-reported outcomes following free gingival graft surgery: A prospective parallel-group clinical study. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 19. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: FGG produced comparable short-term outcomes in teeth with and without fixed dental prostheses. Although restored teeth showed poorer baseline quality of life, the postoperative experience was mainly influenced by pain intensity rather than prosthetic status.

- Comparison of microhardness, surface roughness, retain-->Candida albicans adhesion, and color stability among TiO2-coated and uncoated conventional, milled, and 3D printed denture base materials. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 18. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: TiO2-coated, milled specimens demonstrated the highest microhardness, lowest surface roughness, and reduced C albicans adhesion. The original pink-colored, milled specimens showed the least color change. Milled PMMAs are processed under high pressure and temperature, resulting in lower residual monomer levels, reduced porosity, and improved material properties.

- Effect of different laser modalities and treatment methods on the surface roughness and alterations of 3D printed resins and PEEK: An in vitro study. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 15. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Surface treatments altered resin and PEEK surface properties. Airborne-particle abrasion and Er:YAG laser treatments resulted in the greatest increases in surface roughness, while GalvoSurge and diode laser treatments generally caused minimal or nonsignificant changes.

- Effects of liquid scanning-aid material and four variables on the scanning trueness of post space with intraoral scanning. [Journal Article]J Prosthet Dent. 2026 Aug 15. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: With the obstruction of adjacent teeth, the TRIOS 5 scanner could successfully recognize models with a post space opening diameter of 2.5 mm and depth ≤10 mm. In the absence of the obstruction of adjacent teeth, it could additionally successfully identify models with an opening diameter of 2.0 mm and depth ≤8 mm. Liquid scanning-aid material improved the trueness for narrow and deep post spaces.
