- Multimodal Photoacoustic/Ultrasound Imaging System for Longitudinal Assessment of Keloid Treatment. [Journal Article]J Ultrasound Med. 2026 Oct 28. [Online ahead of print]JU
- CONCLUSIONS: A multimodal PA/US imaging system provides comprehensive and noninvasive assessment of both structural and functional changes in keloids during treatment. This longitudinal study suggests its potential as a valuable tool for objective and dynamic monitoring of therapeutic response in scar management.

- Doppler Ultrasonography and Computed Tomography Angiography in Carotid Artery Stenosis: Discordance and Its Potential Impact on Surgical Decision-Making. [Journal Article]J Ultrasound Med. 2026 Oct 28. [Online ahead of print]JU
- CONCLUSIONS: Agreement between DUS and CTA in significant carotid stenosis was fair using NASCET and moderate using ECST, with discordance particularly frequent in the 50-69% stenosis group and dependent on the CTA measurement method. Combined assessment with 2 noninvasive imaging modalities may help reduce misclassification in patients considered for surgical treatment.

- The Impact of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound on Ovarian Reserve in Women with Uterine Fibroids and Adenomyosis: A Systematic Review and Single Arm Meta-Analysis. [Review]J Ultrasound Med. 2026 Oct 27. [Online ahead of print]JU
- The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment on ovarian reserve by synthesizing available evidence on post-treatment changes in ovarian reserve markers. Studies were eligible if they evaluated the impact of HIFU on ovarian reserve by reporting pre- and post-treatment ovarian reserve markers, including anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), antral fol…

- Ultrasonographic Diagnosis of Ectopic Ureter Draining into the Vagina or Vestibule. [Journal Article]J Ultrasound Med. 2026 Oct 23. [Online ahead of print]JU
- CONCLUSIONS: Ultrasound was useful in detecting ectopic-ureter presence. However, the diagnostic performance for determining the location of vagina/vestibule insertions was approximately 50%. Sonographers should carefully evaluate the vesicoureteral-insertion location, particularly in cases with nonfunctional kidneys.
