- Contrast sensitivity and imaging findings in patients with idiopathic focal choroidal excavation. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Eyes with iFCE showed reduced contrast performance despite preserved visual acuity. These preliminary findings require confirmation in larger studies.

- Seasonal intraocular pressure variation in patients with primary open-angle or exfoliation glaucoma: a bidirectional encoder representations from transformers -based natural language processing analysis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Intraocular pressure is higher in winter, regardless of glaucoma subtype or filtration surgery status. Filtration surgery lowers baseline intraocular pressure but does not eliminate season-related physiological influences.

- Clinical utility of pupil diameter cutoffs for detecting early presbyopia. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: A difference in pupil diameter of 0.95mm could be the optimal cutoff value for assessing early presbyopia. As pupil dynamics have been previously related to presbyopia, this study proposes threshold pupil diameter measurement values to provide an alternative practical way to clinically screen for and assess presbyopia.

- Ocular manifestations of relapsing polychondritis: a case series highlighting neuro-ophthalmic involvement. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: RPC may present with diverse neuro-ophthalmic manifestations, including cranial neuropathy and optic perineuritis, in addition to more commonly recognized inflammatory ocular diseases. Therefore, ophthalmologists should consider RPC in the differential diagnosis of ocular inflammatory diseases accompanied by systemic inflammatory manifestations such as auricular chondritis. Early diagnosis and prompt systemic corticosteroid and immunosuppressive therapy may contribute to favorable visual outcomes.

- Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio as a promising marker in lacrimal gland pathologies: differentiating MALT lymphoma from dacryoadenitis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: NLR may serve as a simple biomarker to help distinguish lacrimal gland MALT lymphoma from dacryoadenitis, particularly IgG4-related dacryoadenitis. These results, while promising, should be validated through large-scale, prospective studies to better define the diagnostic and prognostic utility of NLR in lacrimal gland pathologies.

- Involvement of ocular angle pigmentation on the effect of 2% topical ganciclovir treatment in patients with cytomegalovirus anterior uveitis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Angle pigmentation was lower in the affected eyes than in the fellow eyes in patients with a shorter disease duration. In contrast, patients with greater angle pigmentation exhibited longer disease duration and a reduced IOP-lowering response to topical GCV treatment. Therefore, pre-treatment angle pigmentation evaluation may assist in predicting glaucoma outcomes.

- Spatial corneal endothelial cell loss after preserflo microshunt implantation: association with tube insertion position. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Early localized endothelial cell loss after PFM implantation was associated with tube insertion position, particularly corneal-side insertion. Central ECD measurements may underestimate localized endothelial cell loss.

- Digitalization of the diabetic eye notebook: patient and physician perspectives on a smartphone application for diabetic retinopathy management. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study identified key expectations and concerns among patients and physicians regarding the digitalization of the Diabetic Eye Notebook. Although the application has the potential to overcome practical limitations of the paper-based format, usability for older adults and data security remain major challenges, underscoring the need for further refinement and prospective evaluation.

- Subfoveal choroidal thickness across age and sex in a Korean population: insights from KNHANES 2017-2021. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study establishes a comprehensive normative reference framework for SFCT utilizing a nationally representative Korean population. These data may serve as reference values for evaluating choroidal structural changes in retinal and choroidal diseases.

- Association between distance from the angle recess to the tube entry site and corneal endothelial cell loss after PreserFlo MicroShunt implantation. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: A longer distance from the angle recess to the intracameral tube entry site may predict accelerated ECD loss after PMS implantation, particularly in XFG.

- Development of a smartphone-based retinal imaging device for stable fundus imaging. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The device demonstrates significantly improved stability and ease of use compared with conventional methods. Its design may help reduce operator dependency and facilitate fundus image acquisition in supine patients. Further validation in the intended clinical populations is warranted.

- Surgical waste and greenhouse gas emissions in cataract surgery: a multicenter interventional study at ten Japanese hospitals. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Cataract surgery in Japanese sites generates substantial disposable-material waste and associated CO2eq. Pragmatic site-selected interventions were associated with significant reductions in site-summary analyses, while case-level modeling showed similar trends without statistical significance, suggesting heterogeneity and/or limited power.

- Tolerance of residual myopic refractive errors in eyes with enhanced monofocal intraocular lenses with higher-order aspheric optics. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In eyes implanted with enhanced monofocal IOLs with higher-order aspheric optics, a degree of refractive error tolerance was observed.

- Visual and OCT outcomes in epiretinal membrane foveoschisis with and without lamellar macular hole-related diseases. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Vitrectomy for ERM-FS improved visual acuity and retinal morphology in all groups. However, eyes with concomitant LMH tended to have poorer postoperative visual outcomes.
