  • CONCLUSIONS: Two years after TL ASD surgery, 13.9% had CS decompensation, with 14% requiring CS extension. Baseline CS alignment independently predicted CS decompensation. Patients with preoperative C2-PA >26.2° may benefit from CS inclusion in the TL construct after external validation of this threshold by future research.

  • CONCLUSIONS: SRS was associated with better local control compared with surgical resection for the primary treatment of RIMs. Frequent multifocal presentation and high rates of treatment failure support the notion that RIMs represent a distinct biological entity. Given the long latency and ongoing risk of tumor development after cranial irradiation, these findings underscore the importance of long-term surveillance in this patient population.
  • Safety and Efficacy of Repeat Surgery for Recurrent Craniopharyngiomas: A RAPID Consortium Collaboration. [Journal Article]

  • CONCLUSIONS: This study provides the largest comparative evaluation of patients undergoing surgery for recurrent vs primary CP. Despite prior treatment, patients with recurrent CP achieved comparable resection outcomes with similar rates of neuroendocrine dysfunction. These findings indicate surgical resection remains a safe and efficacious option for recurrent CP, especially as emerging targeted therapies become available.
