  • Tidal Breathing Exhaled Nitric Oxide Measurement Using A Novel Chemiluminescence Analyzer: Clinical Potential in Lung Disease Diagnosis. [Journal Article]

  • CONCLUSIONS: The eNOglow analyzer demonstrates reliable performance in asthmatic patients across varying degrees of airway inflammation, making it suitable for primary healthcare, large-scale clinical trials, and research applications. TBNO measurements offer clinical value, particularly for patients unable to perform FeNO50 testing. These findings validate the reliability of eNOglow and support its applicability in clinical practice and research settings, while establishing the first global reference values for TBNO in adult asthma patients.
  • Pulsed administration of inhaled nitric oxide: Development, clinical applications, and future perspectives. [Review]

  • Nitric oxide (NO) gas continues to be a widely studied and versatile treatment given its broad spectrum of physiological effects such as pulmonary vasodilation, improvement of oxygenation, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects. The idea of administering a pulsed dose of inhaled NO (PiNO) at the beginning of inhalation was developed in the last 20 years as an alternative to continuous inhal…
  • Nitroxyl - from a nitric oxide-related derivative to an independent signaling molecule in plants. [Review]
    Nitric Oxide. 2026 Sep 01; 165:30-36. [Online ahead of print]Arasimowicz-Jelonek M, Floryszak-Wieczorek JNO
  • Nitric oxide (•NO) is a central regulator of plant development and stress responses, but recent evidence shows that reactive nitrogen signaling involves more than •NO alone. Nitroxyl (HNO), the one-electron-reduced and protonated form of •NO, has emerged as a distinct signaling molecule in plants with unique chemical and functional properties. Unlike •NO, HNO is a non-radical, thiophilic species …
  • Nitrosative modifications modulate the activity of plant aminoaldehyde dehydrogenase. [Journal Article]

  • Reactive nitrogen species (RNS) are signalling molecules triggering several defence responses during plant stress. The highest importance has nitric oxide (NO), involved in the post-translational modifications, including protein S-nitrosation of target cysteine residues. Aminoaldehyde dehydrogenases (AMADHs) catalyze the NAD(P)[+]-dependent oxidation of various ω-amino aldehydes to the correspond…
  • Morning-to-evening decline in pulmonary diffusing capacity and spirometry. [Journal Article]
Nitric Oxide. 2026 Aug 24; 165:21-29. [Online ahead of print]van Ooij PJ, Houtkooper A, Zavorsky GSNO
  • Pulmonary function tests are performed throughout the day, yet time-of-day effects on spirometry and pulmonary diffusing capacities for nitric oxide (DLNO) and carbon monoxide (DLCO) are poorly characterized, and DLNO's diurnal behavior is unknown. We examined whether these measurements vary in healthy men and derived within-day limits of change. Thirty-eight men (median age, 29.8 years) underwen…
