- Modeling the U.S. National Burden of Severe Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 27. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: This study provides contemporary national estimates of severe HDFN in the United States, demonstrating that, although alloimmunization is relatively common, progression to severe HDFN remains rare.

- Antidepressant Discontinuation During Pregnancy and Risk of Mental Health-Related Emergencies. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 27. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort of privately insured patients with preexisting depression or anxiety, antidepressant discontinuation during pregnancy was common and was associated with increased risk of mental health-related ED visits. These findings underscore the need for clinical and policy strategies to support continuation of evidence-based treatment for perinatal mental health conditions and to address preventable contributors to maternal morbidity and mortality.

- Anti-Müllerian Hormone Trajectories Across the Menopause Transition. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 27. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: Two different AMH trajectories to the final menstrual period were observed in a subsample of SWAN participants. Independent of a participant's premenopausal cardiovascular risk factors, lower starting AMH and slower decline were associated with higher postmenopausal cardiovascular risk.

- Risk Factors and Associated Severe Neonatal Morbidity and Mortality at Cesarean Delivery for the Second Twin. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 27. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: In this secondary analysis of twin deliveries that involved vaginal delivery of the first twin, cesarean delivery for the second twin tripled the risk of severe neonatal morbidity and mortality when compared with vaginal delivery. Results should be interpreted with caution because of the small number of events and potential residual confounding.

- Progesterone Receptor Antagonists for Labor Induction: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 20. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: Use of mifepristone for labor induction was associated with reduced odds of cesarean delivery, as well as improved cervical ripening and labor induction efficiency. No evidence of short-term maternal or neonatal risk was found, although robust data were limited. Findings support the role of progesterone antagonists for labor induction.

- Hospital Context and Strategies for Cesarean Delivery Quality Improvement. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 13. [Online ahead of print]OG
- CONCLUSIONS: Lower NTSV cesarean delivery rates were associated with a more favorable organizational context and more robust improvement processes. The hospital conditions and QI strategies identified herein may enable systematic assessment of hospital-specific barriers and facilitators, selection of corresponding QI strategies, and sufficient resourcing of these activities to support successful cesarean delivery QI efforts.

- Trends in Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy Rates by Race and Ethnicity in the United States, 2016-2024. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 06. [Online ahead of print]OG
- To evaluate contemporary trends in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) prevalence by race and ethnicity, we conducted a cross-sectional study of 33,363,927 U.S. live births from 2016 through 2024 using National Vital Statistics System data. Age-standardized HDP rates increased by 74%, from 62.7 to 109.1 per 1,000 live births (average annual percent change 7.2%; p<0.001), with an inflection …

- Closing the Gap in Menopause Education. [Journal Article]Obstet Gynecol. 2026 Oct 06. [Online ahead of print]OG
- Menopause is a universal experience among women and all those seeking gynecologic care, yet most physicians-including obstetrician-gynecologists-report inadequate training on menopause-related care. As a result, people experiencing menopause often navigate the physical, social, and emotional challenges that accompany menopause on their own. The vacuum left by health care professionals in menopaus…
