- Systemic complement C3 reduction in infertile women with endometrial dysbiosis: preliminary observations. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: Endometrial dysbiosis was associated with selective C3 reduction in this infertile cohort, consistent with mild complement consumption.

- Increased concurrent immunoreactivity of macrophage markers and HSP47 in the uterus of old multiparous cows. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: Compared with young nulliparous heifers, old multiparous cows showed increased concurrent immunoreactivity of macrophage markers with HSP47 throughout the uterus, consistent with coordinated immune-fibrosis-associated remodeling. Qualitative αSMA analysis provides additional support for the fibrosis-associated component of this remodeling.

- The effects of Glycyrrhiza flavonoids on sperm quality and oxidative stress during the liquid preservation of boar semen. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that optimal GF doses preserve sperm function and attenuate oxidative stress during liquid storage by enhancing enzymatic antioxidant activities, thereby maintaining cellular structural and functional stability.

- Heat shock transcription factor-1 and heat shock protein 90: insights into post-insemination endometritis. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: Changes in HSP90 and HSF-1 expression in endometrium after AI are associated with endometrial inflammation. Their presence in the cytoplasm and nucleus (luminal and glandular epithelial cells, fibroblasts, leucocytes) suggests roles in cytosolic protein interactions and DNA regulation. Their expression in luminal and glandular epithelium, and in stromal cells, suggests roles in the regulation of endometrial repair and remodelling.

- Epigenetic role of miR-574 in sperm chromatin remodeling and developmental gene networks in male infertility. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest a potential biological association where miR-574 downregulation may be a feature of idiopathic male infertility, potentially influencing gene networks involved in sperm formation and nuclear organization. Its precise regulatory mechanisms in male infertility subgroups warrant further large-scale validation.

- Possible role of bacterial infection in embryo implantation failure. [Review]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- Embryo implantation is a critical and complex process that requires coordination between the embryo and the receptive endometrium for its success. However, a multitude of factors have the potential to contribute to implantation failure. Among these factors, bacterial infections in the uterine environment are of particular concern and are increasingly being considered as a contributing factor to i…

- Don't judge a sperm by its cover. [Review]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Sep 29; 38(14).RF
- Male fertility is primarily assessed using descriptive semen parameters, such as sperm concentration, motility and morphology. These conventional parameters provide an initial assessment of male reproductive health and may explain why a couple is struggling to conceive; however, they are not a direct measure of fertility potential. Growing evidence suggests that spermatozoa transmit far more than…

- Handle with care: packaging the oocyte epigenome for the next generation. [Review]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Sep 29; 38(14).RF
- During oocyte growth, substantial epigenetic programming occurs to establish a distinctive epigenome including appropriately patterned DNA methylation and histone modifications. Oocyte epigenetic programming must be tightly spatiotemporally regulated to ensure that a wide variety of epigenetic modifiers correctly establish their respective modifications to mediate precise control of gene expressi…

- The hidden impacts of endocrine-disrupting chemicals on endometrial and pregnancy health. [Review]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Sep 29; 38(14).RF
- Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are ubiquitous environmental contaminants that interfere with hormone signalling and are increasingly linked to adverse reproductive outcomes. This viewpoint highlights emerging evidence that EDC exposure disrupts both endometrial and placental function, contributing to disorders including endometriosis, endometrial cancer, pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restric…
