CONCLUSIONS: Overall, approximately one-quarter of eyes with nAMD were not treated within 29 days of diagnosis. Simultaneous bilateral nAMD diagnosis and poor baseline VA (< 20/400) were primary factors associated with not receiving anti-VEGF treatment. Greater VA gains were observed with prompt treatment and increasing number of injections.

CONCLUSIONS: Eyes with SCH-RD have guarded visual prognoses, especially when PVR is present. Undergoing multiple surgeries for RD repair and the absence of PVR were associated with greater odds of achieving retinal attachment.

Structure-Function Relationships in Retinitis Pigmentosa: Three-Year Changes in Visual Function and Outer Retinal Layers. [Journal Article]

CONCLUSIONS: Distinct outer retinal biomarkers were differentially associated with functional measures in RP. Repeated EZW measurements were most strongly associated with VFI, whereas repeated OS thickness measurements were most closely associated with BCVA. ONL shows measurable structural loss but limited functional relevance. Multilayer structural assessment provides complementary information on RP progression and may help refine future clinical evaluation strategies.

CONCLUSIONS: WNV uveitis often has a self-limited course but can be intractable in some patients, with long-term control needed for CME and retinal vasculitis with systemic IMT. Ophthalmologists must be aware of the rarer complications that may require intervention.

CONCLUSIONS: In iERM, greater FAZ enlargement correlated with greater visual improvement despite a reduction in central PD. The significant relationship between changes in FV and PD suggests that changes in OCTA flow parameters after iERM surgery predominantly reflect topographic redistribution of macular vasculature rather than a true loss of perfusion, although a concurrent perfusion change cannot be entirely excluded.

CONCLUSIONS: Preoperative anti-VEGF is associated with less intraoperative and early postoperative hemorrhage and fewer reoperations at diabetic vitrectomy, with the lowest hemorrhage rates when injection precedes surgery by 1 to 7 days. The evidence does not identify a precise optimal interval; higher TRD and reoperation rates beyond 14 days derive from a single cohort. Interval associations are hypothesis-generating given observational, low-certainty evidence.
