- Subacute granulomatous thyroiditis: histopathological spectrum, perineural inflammation, and coexisting lesions. [Journal Article]Rev Assoc Med Bras (1992). 2026; 72(10):e20260876.RA
- CONCLUSIONS: Subacute granulomatous thyroiditis demonstrates broader pathological significance than traditionally recognized. Perineural inflammation may contribute to pain generation, and the elevated malignancy rate most likely reflects incidental detection due to extensive sampling. These findings highlight diagnostic pitfalls and underscore the importance of careful pathological assessment.

- Comparative evaluation of ChatGPT and Gemini feedback in scenario-based clinical reasoning among medical interns. [Randomized Controlled Trial]Rev Assoc Med Bras (1992). 2026; 72(10):e20260869.RA
- CONCLUSIONS: ChatGPT and Gemini generated educationally useful feedback for scenario-based clinical reasoning activities. Although artificial intelligence tools cannot replace expert supervision, they may support personalized learning and reduce faculty workload when used under human oversight.

- Gastrin-releasing peptide, neuromedin B, and symptom severity in adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. [Journal Article]Rev Assoc Med Bras (1992). 2026; 72(10):e20260659.RA
- CONCLUSIONS: The findings suggest that gastrin-releasing peptide, in particular, may be associated with clinical symptom severity in adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and is a potential biomarker candidate.

- CONCLUSIONS: Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery videos on YouTube may provide valuable educational content; however, popularity metrics do not reflect scientific reliability. Video selection for surgical education should be based on structured quality assessment tools rather than view count alone.

- Computed tomography of the occipital bone for sex estimation in Turks. [Journal Article]Rev Assoc Med Bras (1992). 2026; 72(10):e20260627.RA
- CONCLUSIONS: Computed tomography-based morphometric analysis of the occipital bone is a reliable method for sex estimation in forensic medicine. These results support the development of population-specific reference data for the Turkish population.

- CONCLUSIONS: Integrating Osteopathic Manual Therapy Techniques into exercise-based rehabilitation presents promising preliminary evidence for enhancing central sensitization symptoms and sleep quality in fibromyalgia patients, though larger trials are needed.

- A comparative analysis of semiannual versus annual rituximab maintenance in patients with refractory idiopathic inflammatory myopathies: a retrospective longitudinal real-world study. [Journal Article]Rev Assoc Med Bras (1992). 2026; 72(9):e20260564.RA
- CONCLUSIONS: In this exploratory cohort, no statistically significant differences were detected between semiannual and annual rituximab maintenance regimens with respect to clinical outcomes, although numerically higher relapse rates were observed in the annual group. These findings suggest that extended rituximab intervals may be feasible in resource-limited settings, but further prospective studies are needed to confirm these observations.

- CONCLUSIONS: Each 1 SD increase in triglyceride-glucose was associated with a 3.5-fold increase in odds of nephrolithiasis, independent of age, sex, and fibrosis-4. Fibrosis-4 showed no independent utility. Prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings.

- Weight loss-independent associations of body composition changes with device-derived metabolic age during Mediterranean diet follow-up. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Favorable changes in Tanita-derived metabolic age were observed during follow-up. The associated body composition changes may partly reflect shared components of the device algorithm because metabolic age is a composite surrogate rather than a direct measure of biological aging. Given the retrospective uncontrolled design, causal effects of the Mediterranean diet cannot be established.

- Retrospective study of inflammatory markers in high-grade cervical lesions. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, our findings suggest that inflammatory markers are associated with abnormal cervical screening results. To determine the significance and clinical utility of serum inflammatory markers, multicenter clinical trials involving larger patient cohorts are needed.
