  • Clinical and ultrasound characteristics of uterine perivascular epithelioid cell tumors. [Journal Article]
Ultraschall Med. 2026 Sep 10. [Online ahead of print]Ferla S, Doglioli M, … Raimondo DUM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Uterine PEComas commonly present as solitary, solid, round masses with regular margins, inhomogeneous echogenicity, and marked vascularization. Typical features such as shadowing or hyperechoic islands are absent. Despite these characteristics, malignancy is often underrecognized on initial ultrasound.
  • Contrast-enhanced super-resolution imaging of the liver. [Journal Article]
Ultraschall Med. 2026 Sep 09. [Online ahead of print]Jung EM, Sieber I, Clevert DAUM
  • The present review of the most common liver lesions describes the possibilities for using the novel super-resolution contrast-enhanced ultrasound technique. There are advantages for visualizing the microvasculature and thus for the characterization of a vascular pattern: in the arterial phase as benign and regular or as malignant and irregular. In the case of hepatocellular carcinomas, small irre…
  • Prenatally diagnosed Ebstein's anomaly and tricuspid valve dysplasia: associated anomalies and predictors of outcome in a multicenter cohort study. [Journal Article]
    Ultraschall Med. 2026 Aug 19. [Online ahead of print]Wolter A, Ritz L, … Axt-Fliedner RUM
  • CONCLUSIONS: This is one of the largest prenatal multicenter cohorts employing a longitudinal design, with echocardiographic data evaluation across three gestational intervals. Established predictors (pulmonary flow, TR_max) were confirmed and zAVD was identified as a simple, clinically applicable parameter, highlighting the relevance of left ventricular involvement in EA/TVD.
  • The Role of Google Gemini in the Interpretation of Ovarian Lesions. [Journal Article]
Ultraschall Med. 2026 Aug 13. [Online ahead of print]Psilopatis I, Zwimpfer TA, … Reina HUM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Google Gemini seems to not be ready for independent clinical application in ovarian ultrasound interpretation. Critical inconsistencies including overdiagnosis and dangerous misclassification of malignancies indicate the need for specialized, domain-specific models with rigorous validation before clinical implementation.
