- Neuropsychological performance in euthymic bipolar disorder with and without suicide attempts: a comparative study with healthy controls [Journal Article]Vertex. 2026 Jul 10; 37(172, abr.-jun.):7-14.V
- CONCLUSIONS: Direct CIS–SIS differences were modest (only WCST categories), but contrasts with controls revealed partially distinct profiles. The findings suggest that deficits in processing speed and working memory may be more pronounced in patients with a history of suicide attempts. These results should be interpreted as exploratory, and replication in larger samples and longitudinal designs is warranted.

- Off-label prescription of antiepileptic drugs in psychiatric inpatients [Journal Article]Vertex. 2026 Jul 10; 37(172, abr.-jun.):41-48.V
- Off-label prescription of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) is highly frequent in daily clinical practice. Most of these drugs have multiple mechanisms of action, which can explain their efficacy in the treatment of various non-epileptic central nervous system (CNS) disorders, both in neurological and psychiatric conditions.

- Anhedonia, classically defined as the inability to experience pleasure, was introduced in 1897 by the French philosopher and psychologist Théodule Armand Ribot. Although this term is still used, it has undergone conceptual modifications because the dichotomy of the original description is insufficient to capture the complexity of its components (Pérez Rincón, 2014). The hedonic experience is a dy…
