- Comparative anthelmintic activity of artemisinin, dihydroartemisinin, and artesunate against sheep gastrointestinal nematodes: in vitro evaluation and exploratory β-tubulin molecular modeling. [Journal Article]BMC Vet Res. 2026 Oct 13; 22(1).BV
- CONCLUSIONS: ARTE showed the highest in vitro anthelmintic activity among the three evaluated artemisinin derivatives, with a consistent activity ranking of ARTE > ART > DHA in both experimental assays. The computational findings provide hypothesis-generating support for a potential interaction of ARTE with the GTP-associated region of β-tubulin but do not establish β-tubulin as its molecular target. Further parasite-specific target studies, in vivo efficacy experiments, pharmacokinetic evaluation, and direct target-engagement studies are required to clarify the biological mechanism and veterinary relevance of these findings.

- Effects of replacing alfalfa hay with Atriplex nummularia on the growth performance, digestibility, and energy usage of six-month old camel calves. [Journal Article]BMC Vet Res. 2026 Oct 15; 22(1).BV
- CONCLUSIONS: In arid environments, Atriplex nummularia can partially or entirely replace alfalfa hay for growing camel calves; however, complete substitution resulted in significant reductions in average daily growth, nutrient digestibility, and feed efficiency. It proposed that Atriplex could be an effective camel fodder for enhancing drought resilience in desert environments.

- Colloid mill modified zein suspension technology for plant protein rich bird food: first clutch performance compared with egg based food in fiorino canaries. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: EGG16 improved first-clutch egg production. ZEIN16 did not show a statistically detectable reduction in hatchability after eggs were laid, but equivalence or non-inferiority to EGG16 was not tested. ZEIN16 should therefore be positioned as a preliminary plant-protein-rich bird egg food analogue produced through colloid-mill-based zein suspension technology, rather than as a reproductive replacement for egg-based food.

- Morpho-molecular assessment of nanomaterials in teleost fish wound healing: a systematic review. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: This systematic review shows that nanomaterials significantly accelerate teleost wound healing by promoting tissue regeneration and regulating the immune response. The shift toward biopolymeric systems, especially chitosan, indicates a clear trend toward safe and sustainable aquaculture medicine. Notably, testing hybrid nano-hyaluronic acid and nano-chitosan systems remains completely unexplored in farmed fish. This gap is important due to the complementary biological properties of these materials and the high global value of Nile tilapia. Testing this hybrid biomaterial under real farming conditions will help improve skin healing, support the immune system, and provide a safe wound treatment for global aquaculture.

- An efficient and versatile reverse genetics system for bovine coronavirus facilitates antiviral evaluation. [Journal Article]
- Bovine coronavirus (BCoV), a primary etiological agent of calf diarrhea, exhibits dual tropism for the respiratory and enteric tracts. However, research on BCoV gene function and pathogenesis has been limited by the lack of convenient and flexible reverse genetics tools. Herein, we report a robust reverse genetics system for BCoV based on an optimized circular polymerase extension reaction (CPER)…

- Engineering a dimeric porcine deltacoronavirus S-RBD subunit vaccine for enhanced immunogenicity and neutralizing antibody responses. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In mice, the RBD dimer subunit vaccine demonstrated superior antibody titers and protective efficacy compared with both the monomer and inactivated vaccines. In piglets, the dimer vaccine elicited higher and more durable antibody and neutralizing activity than the inactivated vaccine. These findings indicate the considerable potential of this candidate vaccine and warrant further in‑depth evaluation of its clinical protective efficacy in piglets.

- Longitudinal changes in selected biochemical, hematological, and vital parameters in Gurcu goat kids: effects of age, sex, and birth type. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The main contribution of this study is the provision of breed-specific longitudinal baseline data for healthy Gurcu goat kids raised under traditional management conditions. Age should be considered the primary factor when interpreting biochemical, hematological, and vital parameters in growing Gurcu goat kids, whereas sex and birth type should be regarded as additional, parameter-specific modifiers. Because of the relatively small sample size and single-farm study design, further studies with larger populations raised under different environmental and management conditions are needed to confirm and expand these findings.
