| Abstract | Tobacco abuse is a major health and economic problem in the world today. The spine practitioner has direct experience with the negative effects of the addiction. This review will provide an outline to assist all involved in spine care to help the patient overcome his or her dependence on nicotine. Every practitioner should participate. Even minimal intervention, if carried out at each office visit, can have surprisingly positive effects. |
