AbstractThere have been many case reports of thumb reconstruction using wraparound flaps, toe-to-thumb transfer, and twisted toe flaps but, to the authors' knowledge, there have been no previous reports of reconstruction of total ring finger deficit. In this report, they present a case of successful reconstruction of the ring finger amputated proximal to the proximal-interphalangeal joint, using a twisted toe flap and simultaneous application of a free groin flap to the donor site. Use of the modified twisted toe flap is suggested to be a cosmetically useful method for reconstruction of the ring finger.
