AbstractAntiphospholipid syndrome (APLS) is among the most common acquired blood protein defects that have been identified as leading to thrombosis. This article describes the laboratory diagnosis of APLS, including the detection of lupus anticoagulants, anticardiolipin antibodies, and subtypes of antiphospholipid antibodies.
