METHODS: From 2003 to 2007, 32 cases of gynecomastia were treated with the modified technique: the operative region was divided into central and periphery parts, liposuction was performed only in the periphery part and the deep layer of the central part, while the breast gland in the superficial layer of the central part underwent sharp dissection, the subcutaneous tissue of the central part was conserved, and blood supply was reserved and saucer deformity was avoided. Follow-up was conducted for 3.0 - 18.5 months.
RESULTS: Normal men breast appearance was achieved. No complication happened such as hematoma, seroma, saucer deformity, and necrosis in nipple and areola.
