AbstractSystemic lupus erythematosus, an inflammatory disease, has lupus nephritis as severe complication. Hypertension, secondary of the lupus nephritis represents a major cardiovascular risk factor. The impact of hypertension on the evolution and prognosis in lupus nephritis patients as well as the need to initiate pathogenic, antihypertensive and cardiovascular risk factors therapy have been evaluated.
