The patient was a healthy young man with no medical history. After the operation, he complained of weakness and sensory blockade of both legs. MRI revealed spinal cord infarction at the T9-10 vertebral levels. Steroid pulse therapy was introduced, and paraplegia almost disappeared. Spinal cord infarction in a young man is very rare, but should be considered in case of postoperative paraplegia even in a young patient. | | Language | jpn | | Pub Type(s) | English Abstract Journal Article
