AbstractIn 25.2% patients, suffering morbid obesity, dyslipidemia was revealed, manifesting by the triglycerids (TG) and cholesterol superlow--density lipoproteins (CHSLDLP) levels raising and atherogeneicity coefficient enhancement. In patients, suffering morbid obesity, after gastric shunting and banding performance, the lipids metabolism indices normalization was noted. In concomitant type II diabetes mellitus the accomplished gastric shunting secures trustworthy the TG and CHSLDLP levels, gastric shunting proved itself more effective procedure than gastric banding.
