These tumor cells home to and persist in the skin, producing a broad spectrum of clinical entities. Recent results of basic research on tumor biology and tumor immunology as well as molecular genetics of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma have fostered the development of new therapeutic approaches. Several clinical trials testing these targeted therapies have shown encouraging results.
