AbstractSildenafil (Viagra) has been developed as a drug to treat male impotence. It has also been used to reduce symptoms (e.g. improved exercise capacity) in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. A case of subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) following the illicit use of sildenafil is reported.
