| Title | A pediatric case study of treprostinil overdose. | | Author(s) | Walsh M, Hanna BD | | Institution | Philadelphia University, Pennsylvania, USA. | | Source | J Heart Lung Transplant 2009 Mar; 28(3):297-8. | | Abstract | This case study reports the effects of a treprostinil accidental overdose in a patient with pulmonary hypertension. Treprostinil is labeled for treatment of pulmonary hypertension with New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class II, III and IV symptoms. It is characterized as a long-acting prostacyclin analog that can be delivered by intravenous or subcutaneous continuous infusions. This pediatric case report describes a massive overdose without significant side effects, thus suggesting a beneficial therapeutic index in pediatric patients. | | Language | eng | | Pub Type(s) | Journal Article
