Abstract	A case of "autochthonous" cutaneous larva migrans observed in a patient from the Lazio region (Italy) is described and rarity of the case is stressed. The epidemiological aspects, the pathogenetic problems and the contribution of the sero-immunological methods to the diagnosis are discussed.
