- Driver distraction effects and explainable workload recognition in extra-long tunnels using visual, ECG, and vehicle-control features. [Journal Article]Traffic Inj Prev. 2026 Nov 03; :1-9. [Online ahead of print]TI
- CONCLUSIONS: In this tunnel scenario, under experimentally induced distraction conditions, manual and visual distraction had certain effects on driving stability and drivers' physiological indicators, while cognitive interference also altered driver workload and attention characteristics. The proposed model provides a high‑precision, interpretable method for driving state assessment and is applicable to distraction recognition and warning in tunnel scenarios.

- Yield determinants in rice under organic and conventional production systems: Implications for selection strategies. [Journal Article]PLoS One. 2026; 21(11):e0362007.Plos
- The persistent yield gap remains a major challenge in organic agriculture despite its increasing importance for sustainable food production. The present study compared the performance of 80 diverse rice genotypes (62 landraces and 18 modern varieties) under two contrasting production systems (organic and conventional). The experiment was conducted during the Kharif seasons of 2023 and 2024 using…

- Genotypic variation and root traits associated with hypoxia tolerance in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.). [Journal Article]PLoS One. 2026; 21(11):e0361654.Plos
- Waterlogging-induced hypoxia is becoming an increasingly important constraint to crop production under climate change. Although quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is recognized for its tolerance to drought and salinity, its response to hypoxia remains poorly understood. This study evaluated the effects of hypoxia on growth, root development, biomass accumulation, and individual seed yield in 28 q…

- Assessment of Health Care Worker Stigma Toward Pregnant People With Opioid Use Disorder. [Journal Article]J Addict Med. 2026 Nov 02. [Online ahead of print]JA
- CONCLUSIONS: Health care worker stigma toward pregnant people with OUD was greatest in active opioid use vignettes. Differences across clinical roles and specialties identify important targets for antistigma interventions.

- Differential Effects of Hip- and Knee-Based Stretches on Torque and Motor Unit Activity in the Hamstrings. [Journal Article]Med Sci Sports Exerc. 2026 Nov 03. [Online ahead of print]MS
- CONCLUSIONS: The acute neuromuscular effects of prolonged static stretching depend on joint configuration and differ between muscle regions. Thus, hip- and knee-stretching exercises should not be treated as equivalent interventions.

- Pain, sensory acceptability, and treatment compliance following cryotherapy and topical anesthetics in children: A randomized clinical trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]PLoS One. 2026; 21(11):e0362074.Plos
- This randomized clinical trial aimed to compare the effects of cryotherapy, anesthetic spray, and gel on pain, anxiety, physiological responses, taste acceptability, and treatment compliance in children aged 7-10 years undergoing their first dental treatment. 100 healthy children were randomly allocated into four groups: 10% lidocaine spray, 20% benzocaine gel, cryotherapy with distilled water co…

- Self-Supervised Pre-Training for Non-Insvasive Fetal Electrocardiography from Limited Open-Access Data: A Cross-Dataset QRS-Transfer Benchmark. [Journal Article]IEEE J Biomed Health Inform. 2026 Nov 03; PP. [Online ahead of print]IJ
- Self-supervised pre-training has transformed adult electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis, but it is unclear whether it can help non-invasive fetal ECG (fECG), where open annotated corpora are orders of magnitude smaller. Self-supervised models have been applied to pregnancy ECG for prenatal stress detection on private cohorts. We ask a different question: on public abdominal recordings, which self-sup…

- Effect of Acoustic Environment Improvement Combined with Roy Adaptation Model-Based Supportive Nursing on Self-Efficacy and Maternal Role Adaptation in Advanced-Age Primiparas. [Journal Article]Noise Health. 2026 Sep-Oct 01; 28(134):1385-1393.NH
- CONCLUSIONS: Among advanced-age primiparas, acoustic environment improvement combined with RAM-based supportive nursing was associated with improved sleep quality, enhanced self-efficacy and neonatal care capabilities, and promoted maternal role adaptation, and may help promote lactation and increase the exclusive breastfeeding rate.

- CONCLUSIONS: Higher dialysis room noise exposure was associated with activation of the renin-angiotensin system, increased blood pressure fluctuations, and higher risk of intradialytic hypertension. Optimizing the acoustic environment may improve hemodynamic stability in patients undergoing MHD.

- Count games not athletes? The problem of pseudoreplication when analysing small-sided team games. [Journal Article]Sci Med Footb. 2026 Nov 03; :1-11. [Online ahead of print]SM
- Small-sided games (SSG) are common across a number of team sports and are used for physical conditioning and technical and tactical skill acquisition purposes. As athletes within and between teams interact with each other due to the task structure, individual athletes' performances are inherently interdependent. Accordingly, measurements across athletes are correlated with each other and do not r…

- Herbivore-associated stimulation can alter primary and specialized metabolism, but comparative biochemical responses of cereal crops remain insufficiently characterized. This study investigated changes in soluble sugars and targeted phenolic acids in sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. - Sensory processing sensitivity profiles and self-reported mental effort and concentration across pedagogical contexts among social services and healthcare students: a cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]Adv Health Sci Educ Theory Pract. 2026 Nov 03. [Online ahead of print]AH
- CONCLUSIONS: Pedagogical methods do not influence all students equally. Instructional approaches that involve intense social interaction, performance exposure, or high cognitive demands may disproportionately increase stress and cognitive load for highly reactive learners. Designing inclusive, psychologically safe, and adaptive learning environments that consider SPS-related differences can support student well-being, learning effectiveness, and sustainable professional development in social and healthcare education.
