- Safety study of sitagliptin combined with metoprolol on the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension. [Journal Article]Open Med (Wars). 2026 Jan; 21(1):20261538.OM
- CONCLUSIONS: Short-term observation indicates that sitagliptin combined with metoprolol can improve blood glucose, blood pressure, inflammation, coagulation, and liver-kidney function in elderly patients with T2DM and hypertension, without a significant increase in the risk of adverse reactions during short-term follow-up. However, as a single-center, small-sample retrospective study, the present findings should be interpreted as preliminary clinical evidence.

- Prenatal predictors of severe maternal outcomes in placenta accreta spectrum: A multicenter cohort study in China. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Preoperative risk stratification for PAS could be improved by integrating routinely available coagulation profiles and specific sonographic findings. Early ultrasound identification of PAS-related signs and prolonged preoperative PT and APTT may indicate an increased risk of severe complications. Placental lacunae feeder vessels, bladder wall interruption may provide additional prognostic value for hysterectomy and severe PPH.

- The effects of different surgical modes on coagulation and fibrinolysis system in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. [Journal Article]Neurol Res. 2026 Sep 30; :1-16. [Online ahead of print]NR
- CONCLUSIONS: The postoperative PT, APTT prolongation and D-dimer elevation were most significant in the craniotomy clipping group. Perioperative coagulation function monitoring has clinical value for aSAH patients. The above differences may be related to the degree of surgical trauma, antithrombotic treatment regimen, and the combined effect of inflammatory response. Their specific mechanisms need further research.

- Clinical Significance of Time in Therapeutic Range (TTR) During Unfractionated Heparin Therapy in Non-ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction. [Journal Article]Clin Appl Thromb Hemost. 2026 Jan-Dec; 32:10760296261493181.CA
- BackgroundUnfractionated heparin (UFH) is widely used in non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), but its narrow therapeutic window requires frequent activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) monitoring. Data on time in therapeutic range (TTR) in this setting are scarce.MethodsWe analyzed 1,553 consecutive patients with NSTEMI treated with UFH in a tertiary care intensive cardi…

- Preanalytical stability of aPTT and anti-Xa levels for therapeutic unfractionated heparin monitoring: a systematic review and critical appraisal using CRESS criteria. [Journal Article]Clin Chem Lab Med. 2026 Sep 29. [Online ahead of print]CC
- CONCLUSIONS: Nine studies published between 1983 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria. Marked heterogeneity was observed in study design, preanalytical conditions, analytical methods, stability criteria, and statistical analyses. According to the CRESS, seven studies were graded C or D, while only two achieved grade B. Reported stability limits varied widely according to sample type, collection tube (citrate vs. CTAD), analytical reagent, storage conditions, and study methodology. Delayed centrifugation and delayed analysis were consistently associated with decreases in aPTT and anti-Xa levels. CTAD tubes and dextran sulphate-containing anti-Xa assays did not demonstrate a consistent stability advantage. Importantly, studies evaluating patient-level outcomes reported clinically relevant patient reclassification despite apparently acceptable analytical stability.Evidence regarding the preanalytical stability of aPTT and anti-Xa levels remains limited by methodological heterogeneity, inconsistent stability criteria, and incomplete reporting. Based on the available evidence, centrifugation within 1 hour after blood collection followed by prompt analysis should remain the reference approach for therapeutic UFH monitoring. Future stability studies should comply with CRESS recommendations, use standardized acceptability criteria, and incorporate clinically relevant outcomes, including patient reclassification, to establish evidence-based recommendations for UFH monitoring.

- A Murine Liver Laceration Model Simplifying Quantification of Trauma-Induced Hemorrhage Coagulopathy, Inflammation, and Survival. [Journal Article]J Vis Exp. 2026 Sep 25; (235).JV
- Uncontrolled hemorrhage remains a leading cause of preventable death in trauma patients, and trauma-induced coagulopathy (TIC) is a major determinant of early mortality. Experimental models that reliably recapitulate hemorrhage and associated coagulopathic responses are essential for mechanistic studies and evaluation of targeted interventions. Here, we describe a standardized murine model of pro…

- Plasma fibrinogen levels in women with infertility undergoing surgical evaluation for endometriosis: a retrospective cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Plasma FIB did not show a simple linear association with endometriosis. A higher estimate was observed in the intermediate FIB range and persisted across several adjusted analyses, particularly in stage III-IV disease. This quartile-specific pattern remains exploratory and does not define a clinical cutoff. Independent cohorts are needed to determine whether this pattern is reproducible and clinically informative.
