- The diagnostic value of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D, MIS, and insulin-like growth factor 1 for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). [Journal Article]J Med Biochem. 2026 Jun 16; 45(6):1412-1419.JM
- CONCLUSIONS: MIS, IGF-1, IGFBP-3, and serum 25(OH)D levels are associated with the development and occurrence of PCOS. The combined detection of these four indicators has high auxiliary diagnostic value for PCOS and is conducive to clinical prevention and treatment.

- Biochemical alterations in endocrine and inflammatory pathways following breast cancer surgery: Laboratory evidence and clinical implications. [Journal Article]J Med Biochem. 2026 Apr 15; 45(4):874-881.JM
- CONCLUSIONS: Breast cancer surgery induces characteristic biochemical changes involving endocrine suppression and systemic inflammatory activation. Monitoring hormonal and inflammatory biomarkers provides valuable insight into postoperative physiological stress, recovery mechanisms, and potential risk stratification. These findings support integrating laboratory-based biochemical assessments into postoperative management frameworks for breast cancer patients.

- Growth Hormone Reverses Cisplatin-Induced Ovarian Reserve Depletion in Mice: Transcriptomic Elucidation of Mitochondrial Metabolic Reprogramming and Protein Synthesis Regulation. [Journal Article]FASEB Bioadv. 2026 Sep; 8(9):e70156.FB
- Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) presents a formidable challenge for assisted reproduction technology, as affected patients typically exhibit reduced oocytes and embryos during in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), which may ultimately lead to compromised clinical pregnancy rate. Although growth hormone (GH) supplementation has shown clinical efficacy in improving the outcomes of I…

- Multiorgan and gut microbial alterations in ovariectomized mice: a multiomics analysis. [Journal Article]Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1847257.FI
- Postmenopausal metabolic dysfunction is increasingly recognized as a multisystem disorder associated with estrogen deficiency, yet how gut microbial, metabolic, and tissue-level alterations co-occur across organs remains incompletely characterized.

- Sex Steroid Hormone Signaling Tunes Metabolic and Neuronal Programs in Human Cortical Development. [Journal Article]Res Sq. 2026 Sep 15.RS
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) exhibits a profound male biased sex ratio. While numerous genes have been implicated in ASD, the functional basis of this sex difference is unclear. One enticing hypothesis is genome-wide transcriptional regulation through estrogens and androgens. While hormone-mediated transcription is well-studied in reproductive tissues, its role in cortical development is poorly…

- Association of paternal age with embryological outcomes and β-hCG positivity in women with polycystic ovary syndrome undergoing ICSI: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1915304.FM
- CONCLUSIONS: Paternal age was not independently associated with β-hCG positivity or with a consistent deterioration in embryological outcomes among women with PCOS undergoing ICSI. Although an overall difference in fertilization rate was observed, this finding was not confirmed by corrected pairwise comparisons. These results should be interpreted cautiously because of the small ≥40-year subgroup and the absence of later pregnancy outcomes and molecular sperm-quality assessments.

- Associations of menopause hormone therapy with late-life cognition and brain health vary by formulation and APOEε4 presence. [Journal Article]medRxiv. 2026 Sep 20.M
- Implications of menopause hormone therapy (MHT) for cognitive aging remain unclear despite decades of research. Potential reasons include insufficient consideration of MHT type, despite notable pharmacokinetic differences across formulations, and limited attention to individual differences that may exacerbate cognitive risk. We examined neurocognitive outcomes as a function of APOEϵ4 status, the …

- Exposure to a mixture of long-chain PFAS disrupts ovarian follicle development, ovulation, and luteinization in female mice. [Journal Article]bioRxiv. 2026 Sep 18.B
- Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent environmental contaminants associated with adverse female reproductive outcomes. However, most prior studies examined individual PFAS, despite that humans are exposed to complex PFAS mixtures. Here, we investigated the ovarian effects of a mixture of five commonly detected long-chain PFAS, including PFOS, PFOA, PFNA, PFDA, and PFHxS, using…

- SHC1 affects oestrogen-driven differentiation and barrier function of vaginal epithelial cells via EGFR/Ras/ERK pathway. [Journal Article]J Obstet Gynaecol. 2026 Dec; 46(1):2732092.JO
- CONCLUSIONS: SHC1 is a critical mediator of E2-induced vaginal epithelial homeostasis through the EGFR/Ras/ERK axis, representing a potential downstream therapeutic target for intervention in VA, particularly via localised delivery strategies.

- Post-marketing safety profile of Myfembree in approved gynecologic indications: a disproportionality analysis based on the FAERS database. [Journal Article]Naunyn Schmiedebergs Arch Pharmacol. 2026 Sep 24. [Online ahead of print]NS
- Myfembree, a fixed-dose combination of relugolix, estradiol, and norethindrone acetate, is approved for premenopausal women with heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids and moderate to severe pain associated with endometriosis. Although clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy and acceptable short-term tolerability, real-world post-marketing safety evidence focused on its …

- Intrauterine infusion of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) versus granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) prior to single frozen blastocyst transfer in women with thin endometrium: a study protocol for a multicentre sequential multiple assignment randomised trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]BMJ Open. 2026 Sep 23; 16(9):e121656.BO
- A thin endometrium (TE) is associated with reduced reproductive potential, including lower implantation rates and increased obstetric risks. While intrauterine infusion of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is commonly used, robust evidence for their efficacy remains lacking. This trial aims to compare the effectiveness of PRP versus G-CSF in wo…

- CONCLUSIONS: Compared with no current use of any hormone therapy, oral menopausal hormone therapy was associated with increased venous thromboembolic risk regardless of dosage and treatment duration, while prolonged use of high dose oral oestradiol (>1 mg/day) showed elevated risks of ischaemic stroke and myocardial infarction. No increased thrombotic risks were observed with transdermal therapy.

- ROS function during the early phase of vascular regeneration in Arabidopsis. [Journal Article]Plant Cell Physiol. 2026 Sep 24. [Online ahead of print]PC
- When vascular tissues are damaged, plants induce site-specific formation of vascular stem cells that proliferate and differentiate into xylem and phloem, restoring vascular continuity. In addition, reactive oxygen species (ROS) are rapidly generated at wound sites in response to damage. However, the role of ROS during vascular regeneration remains largely unknown. Here, we investigated the role o…
