  • Hypermobile cervical disc arthroplasty: clinical and radiological outcomes at minimum 2-year follow-up. [Journal Article]
J Neurosurg Spine. 2026 Oct 09; :1-9. [Online ahead of print]Tu TH, Kuo YH, … Wu JCJN
  • CONCLUSIONS: Postoperative segmental hypermobility following CDA did not compromise clinical outcomes or increase complication rates. The safety profile of hypermobile segments was comparable with that of discs with normal mobility, with no instances of device failure or dislodgement. These findings support the safety and efficacy of CDA regardless of postoperative ROM, suggesting that values above the typical range do not adversely affect outcomes. These results contribute to the growing body of evidence supporting the effectiveness and safety of CDA across a wide spectrum of postoperative segmental ROMs.
  • Cervical Disc Arthroplasty: Evolution, Evidence, and Future Directions in Motion-Preservation Surgery. [Journal Article]
J Bone Joint Surg Am. 2026 Oct 09. [Online ahead of print]Kim MT, Lee S, … Riew KDJB
  • ➢ Cervical disc arthroplasty (CDA) provides clinical outcomes comparable with those of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for 1-level and 2-level cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD), with durable long-term motion preservation.➢ Although CDA is associated with lower rates of adjacent-segment pathology compared with ACDF, the absolute risk reduction at longer follow-up is modest an…
  • Single-cell imaging reveals a key role of Bck2 in yeast cell size adaptation to nutrient challenges. [Journal Article]
    J Cell Biol. 2026 Dec 07; 225(12).Chadha Y, Kukhtevich IV, … Schmoller KMJC
  • Cell size is tightly controlled to optimize cell function. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, multiple regulators of cell size in steady-state conditions have been identified, such as the G1/S activators Cln3 and Bck2 and the inhibitor Whi5. Individual deletions of these regulators alter the mean cell volumes. However, size homeostasis remains largely intact. Here, we show that although the roles of Bc…
  • Object Details Persist in Visual Working Memory Regardless of Category Sufficiency for Search. [Journal Article]
Psychophysiology. 2026 Oct; 63(10):e70416.Williams RS, Saito JM, … Ferber SP
  • When searching for objects in complex environments, performance often improves with more specific target representations. Yet, sometimes a more general representation may be preferable. For example, when repeatedly searching for unique exemplars from the same object category, a shared category-based representation could help alleviate the cognitive burden of constantly encoding and maintaining ne…
  • KGAACDA: Knowledge graph attention-aware algorithm for CircRNA-disease association prediction. [Journal Article]
    Comput Biol Chem. 2026 Oct 01; 126(Pt 2):109468. [Online ahead of print]Liu Y, Guo C, … Deng ZCB
  • Recent research highlights the critical involvement of circRNAs (circular RNAs) in the pathogenesis of various human diseases. Consequently, the efficient identification of circRNA-disease associations (CDA) holds significant potential for advancing disease diagnostics and therapeutic strategies. However, traditional experimental validation methods are often costly and time-consuming, leading to …
  • Micro-recovery dosing in elite sport: an initiative-taking, organization-wide recovery framework. [Journal Article]
    Front Physiol. 2026; 17:1951882.Shalom A, Gottlieb R, … Calleja-González JFP
  • Recovery in elite professional sport is now widely understood as a multidimensional process spanning physiological, psychological, cognitive, and social domains, yet recovery models applied in professional clubs and sporting organisations have been slow to reflect this. Most remain reactive and athlete-centred, leaving the full complexity of competitive fatigue inadequately addressed and the equi…
