- Post-Processing Strategies for Laser-Scribed Grooves in Perovskite Solar Modules: Mechanisms, Trade-Offs, and Engineering Guidelines. [Review]Small Methods. 2026 Oct 13; :e71127. [Online ahead of print]SM
- Monolithic integration is widely regarded as a practical pathway toward scalable perovskite solar modules (PSMs). Despite substantial progress in understanding and mitigating laser-scribing-induced damage, laser-scribed groove regions remain important localized sources of performance loss and degradation that can affect module efficiency, reproducibility, and long-term stability. While a growing …

- Screen time and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]Front Pediatr. 2026; 14:1860549.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: Excessive screen exposure is significantly associated with elevated ADHD risk in children, with distinct age-specific and media type-specific patterns. The preschool period appears to be a high-risk window for screen-related neurodevelopmental effects, with a trend toward stronger association for passive screen exposure. Public health and clinical interventions should prioritize restricting early screen exposure, particularly passive, fast-paced videos without substantial interaction.

- Enhancing the Electrical Performance of LiNi0.65Co0.3Al0.05O2 Oxide Cathode by Substituting Mn for Co. [Journal Article]Small. 2026 Oct 12; :e76196. [Online ahead of print]S
- Nickel-rich layered oxide cathodes have emerged as leaders in next-generation lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), offering high energy density while reducing reliance on cobalt. However, challenges such as cation mixing, structural fatigue, and poor capacity retention persist. Most studies conducted to date have focused on higher Ni amounts (Ni ≥ 0.8) in the stoichiometry thus leaving smaller rooms for…

- Consensus-based perspectives on integrating IPX203 into Parkinson's disease management. [Review]
- Motor fluctuations are a common and burdensome complication of Parkinson's disease (PD) when the disease progresses, largely driven by the short half-life and variable absorption of immediate-release (IR) levodopa. IPX203 is a next-generation modified-release levodopa/carbidopa formulation that delivers rapid onset and sustained plasma levodopa concentrations through IR granules and extended-rele…

- Clinical characteristics and genotype-phenotype correlation analysis in 279 patients with 5α-reductase type 2 deficiency. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: We verified that the genotype-phenotype correspondence is non-linear and multifactorial, jointly modulated by mutation subtype, residual enzyme activity, endocrine axis status, geographical disparities, consanguinity, and regional medical resource availability. These findings provide more reliable evidence for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis assessment.

- Outcomes of sequential keratoplasty for bilateral gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy: A case report. [Case Reports]Medicine (Baltimore). 2026 Oct 09; 105(41):e51066.M
- CONCLUSIONS: Advanced bilateral GDLD poses clinical and surgical challenges. PK may restore corneal clarity and provide meaningful visual rehabilitation, although recovery may remain incomplete after early-onset visual impairment and delayed treatment. Long-term monitoring is essential because recurrence and repeat intervention may be required. Early recognition, timely referral, and individualized management matter where donor corneal tissue access is limited.

- Altered Interoceptive Predictive Coding in Functional Neurological Disorders. [Journal Article]
- Interoception, the processing of internal bodily signals, has been linked to the pathophysiology of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), along with the theoretical concept of altered predictive coding (PC). FND symptoms such as sensory-motor dysfunction may arise from disrupted integration of sensory input and predictions. However, PC in the modality of interoception has not yet been investiga…

- Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder Obscured by Incomplete Diagnostic Communication: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
- Functional neurological disorder (FND) is a diagnosis grounded in positive clinical signs, yet it remains vulnerable to underdocumentation and incomplete communication across care transitions, particularly when it is suspected but not formally recorded. In this case, a 24-year-old woman with a history of major trauma (three gunshot wounds sustained four years earlier) presented with sudden-onset …

- Disorder-engineered thermoelectric Cu2Se/SnSe2 heterojunctions embedded in glycyrrhizic acid hydrogels for pyro-photo-ultrasonic therapy of periodontitis. [Journal Article]Acta Biomater. 2026 Oct 06. [Online ahead of print]AB
- Periodontitis treatment is severely hampered by rapid electron-hole recombination and hypoxic microenvironment, which fundamentally limit reactive oxygen species (ROS) yields in conventional photo/sonodynamic therapies. Herein, we propose a disorder-engineered thermoelectric heterojunction strategy that couples pyro-photo-ultrasonic effects to overcome these bottlenecks. Thermoelectric Cu2Se(CuSe…

- High-Entropy Oxides for Efficient Oxygen Evolution Reaction: Structural Design, Reaction Mechanisms, and Future Perspectives. [Review]Adv Mater. 2026 Oct 05; :e75259. [Online ahead of print]AM
- The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is a kinetically demanding anodic process in water electrolysis and related electrochemical energy-conversion systems. Its multistep proton-coupled electron-transfer kinetics and catalyst degradation under strongly oxidizing conditions limit overall efficiency and durability. High-entropy oxides (HEOs), which combine multicomponent configurational disorder, lat…

- Suppressing non-radiative energy loss (ΔE3) by enhancing the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of active-layer materials, particularly the acceptor component, is important for achieving high-performance organic solar cells (OSCs). A key challenge is how to design acceptor materials that attain high PLQY while preserving favorable crystallinity and aggregation behavior, as these properties ar…

- Muir-Torre syndrome in a patient with advanced duodenal carcinoma. [Journal Article]
- Muir-Torre syndrome (MTS) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder characterized by sebaceous neoplasms and visceral malignancies and is regarded as a phenotypic variant of Lynch syndrome. Although colorectal and genitourinary cancers are the most common visceral malignancies in MTS, duodenal cancer is extremely rare. We report a case of advanced duodenal cancer associated with MTS treated with mult…
