- DPP9 modulates RPA1 stability and temozolomide sensitivity through RFWD3 Nuclear localization in glioma. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: DPP9 contributes to glioma resistance to TMZ by sustaining RPA1-dependent DNA damage responses through regulation of the RFWD3-RPA1 axis. These results identify DPP9 as an important determinant of genome maintenance in glioma cells and nominate DPP9 as a candidate target for further investigation in TMZ-resistant glioma.

- N-AVD or BrECADD for Advanced-Stage Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma: Choosing the Right Treatment for the Right Patient. [Review]Clin Lymphoma Myeloma Leuk. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]CL
- Frontline therapy for advanced-stage classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) has entered a new era. Two phase III trials have established highly effective but conceptually different strategies: nivolumab plus doxorubicin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (N-AVD) in SWOG S1826 and PET-adapted BrECADD in GHSG HD21. Because these regimens were tested against different comparators and in different populations, …

- Systemic treatment strategies for BRAF wild-type metastatic unresectable melanoma: a network meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]Front Oncol. 2026; 16:1967814.FO
- CONCLUSIONS: The results of OS primary analysis for nivolumab plus relatlimab, as well as its ranking within the corresponding PFS network, are exploratory in nature. They are intended solely to generate research hypotheses and should not be interpreted as evidence of superiority over other treatments or as a basis for changing the current standard of care. Direct head-to-head RCTs are still needed to further clarify the comparative efficacy of the relevant regimens.

- Dexamethasone Modulates Global DNA Methylation and Oxidative DNA Damage in Glioblastoma Cell Lines. [Journal Article]
- Glioblastoma remains one of the most aggressive primary brain tumors, characterized by rapid progression, therapeutic resistance, and poor prognosis. Dexamethasone is routinely administered to patients with glioblastoma to reduce peritumoral edema and improve neurological symptoms. However, its broader molecular effects on tumor-cell biology and treatment response remain incompletely understood. …

- Cytokine-induced killer cells combined with temozolomide suppress glioblastoma progression in an orthotopic model and demonstrate clinical feasibility in recurrent glioblastoma. [Journal Article]
- Glioblastoma (GBM) remains an aggressive primary brain tumor with limited therapeutic options after recurrence. Cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells are ex vivo-expanded cytotoxic lymphocytes with T-cell and natural killer-like properties. We evaluated CIK-cell-based therapy using an orthotopic LN229-luciferase GBM model and a retrospective cohort of patients with recurrent GBM.

- Real-world evidence on the management and outcomes of glioblastoma in elderly patients: a monocentric retrospective analysis. [Journal Article]BMC Geriatr. 2026 Oct 13; 26(1).BG
- CONCLUSIONS: Survival remained limited in this real-world cohort of older patients with GBM. Age, sex, performance status, resection status, and TMZ administration showed varying associations with outcome, with TMZ showing the most consistent association across analyses. Given the small retrospective cohort and substantial treatment selection, these findings should be considered hypothesis-generating rather than causal.

- Classical Hodgkin lymphoma as a second malignancy in a patient with cervical squamous cell carcinoma following chemoradiotherapy: a case report. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Radiotherapy, cisplatin-based chemotherapy, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) activation, age-related immunosenescence, poorly controlled long-term diabetes mellitus (DM) and SARS-CoV-2 infection-related immunosuppression may have collectively contributed to lymphomagenesis. This case highlights the critical need for sustained long-term follow-up in cervical cancer patients, especially those burdened with concurrent chronic diseases. In the setting of unexplained fever or lymphadenopathy, clinicians must differentiate secondary malignancies from primary tumor recurrence. During the pathological diagnostic process, examination of an intact lymph node is essential for diagnosis.

- Weekly hippocampal diffusion changes during partial-brain radiation therapy for high-grade glioma: associations with dose and early memory change. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Weekly diffusion MRI demonstrates a progressive, dose-associated hippocampal response during fractionated RT. The laterality-specific findings further support an association between local radiation exposure and ADC change and support hippocampal ADC as a candidate treatment-phase imaging phenotype for prospective validation.

- Monocytic resilience during chemoradiotherapy is independently associated with survival in IDH-Wildtype glioblastoma. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Preservation or recovery of circulating monocytes during chemoradiotherapy was associated with a favorable host-response phenotype in IDH-wildtype glioblastoma. This dynamic signal remained associated with survival after adjustment for established clinical factors, baseline monocyte burden, lymphocyte change, systemic inflammatory imbalance, and measured corticosteroid exposure. External prospective validation, medication-level confounder assessment, and immune phenotyping are required before clinical use.

- Pharmacological targeting of xCT/system Xc- to modulate temozolomide sensitivity in glioma and glioblastoma preclinical models: a focused systematic review. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: xCT/system Xc- targeting is a promising but preliminary preclinical strategy for modifying TMZ response. Evidence remains heterogeneous, model- and formulation-dependent, and insufficient to support clinical efficacy claims. Genetic SLC7A11 studies provide mechanistic support, while selected free-drug SSZ and erastin experiments provide limited pharmacological evidence; recent in-vivo findings are predominantly formulation-specific, and sorafenib evidence remains mixed and non-specific. Further target-engagement, pharmacokinetic, BBB, toxicity and orthotopic validation is required.

- Older adults (OA, ≥60 years) with classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) have historically experienced inferior outcomes compared to younger patients. Nivolumab in combination with doxorubicin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (NAVD) has demonstrated high efficacy in clinical trials, but real-world data in OA are limited. We conducted a multicenter retrospective study across 20 centers in patients with newly…

- The Role of Noncoding RNA in MGMT-Positive Glioblastoma: A Narrative Review. [Review]
- Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive primary malignant tumor of the central nervous system and is characterized by rapid progression, frequent recurrence, and poor survival outcomes. - CDK2/9 blockade remodels chromatin and drives phenotypic plasticity in glioblastoma organoids. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: CDK2/9 inhibition shows promise as a therapeutic strategy for GBM. Fadraciclib exhibits multifaceted anti-tumor activity and spares nonmalignant cells of the central nervous system, supporting its further development in therapies that target transcriptional and immune pathways, as well as quiescent tumor cell populations.
