  • Disease burden trends of older adult acute myeloid leukemia (1990-2021): A population-based study. [Journal Article]
    J Geriatr Oncol. 2026 Aug 20; 17(8):103084. [Online ahead of print]Xu Z, Yan X, … Ouyang GJG
  • CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that age-standardized incidence, prevalence, mortality, and DALY rates of older adult AML have followed a persistent ascending trend with distinct demographic and socioeconomic gradients. Specifically, these metrics escalate with age, are consistently elevated in males, and correlate positively with SDI. Smoking, high BMI, and occupational exposures represent key modifiable risk factors. These insights furnish a robust scientific basis for crafting precise prevention and management policies for older adult AML.
  • Ibrutinib tablet splitting as a practical strategy for dose reduction in the management of drug-drug interactions. [Journal Article]
    J Oncol Pharm Pract. 2026 Aug 20; :10781552261478573. [Online ahead of print]Jager L, Koopmans P, … Munnink TOJO
  • BackgroundIbrutinib exposure is strongly affected by cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) activity. Drug-drug interactions (DDIs) can substantially increase ibrutinib plasma concentrations, requiring major dose reductions in DDI management. This study aimed to assess whether splitting ibrutinib 140 mg tablets is a practical and feasible strategy to adjust ibrutinib dosing in case of DDIs.MethodsIbrutinib…
  • Doxycycline for epistaxis in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia: genotype-stratified outcomes. [Journal Article]
Blood Vessel Thromb Hemost. 2026 Aug; 3(3):100193.Santiago-Beniquez J, Adelman A, … Justice JMBV
  • Patients with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) experience recurrent epistaxis. Doxycycline has been proposed as a possible treatment, although its efficacy remains controversial. Whether the most common genotypes (activin receptor-like kinase 1, endoglin, and SMAD4) contribute to a differential response has not been investigated. In this study, we evaluate the effectiveness of doxycycl…
  • Case Report: Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma presenting with cauda equina syndrome: a rare case and diagnostic dilemma. [Case Reports]
Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1873276.Zhang XY, Fang HS, … Cai HLFM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for IVLBCL in patients presenting with CES when initial imaging findings fail to reflect the clinical severity, particularly when accompanied by systemic laboratory abnormalities such as elevated LDH. While serum IL-10 may serve as a potentially useful adjunctive biomarker to raise diagnostic suspicion, prompt initiation of a RSB enables early detection of this disease and minimizes diagnostic delays.
