- Prevalence and risk factors of hand/wrist/forearm eczema among migrant workers in Qassim, Saudi Arabia. [Journal Article]Int Arch Occup Environ Health. 2026 Oct 10; 99(8).IA
- CONCLUSIONS: Occupation emerged as one of the strong correlates of hand/wrist/forearm eczema. Additionally, modifiable lifestyle (poor diet, smoking, and low physical activity) and female gender were associated with eczema.

- Efficacy and Safety of Delgocitinib and Its Impact on Patient's Perspective for Moderate-to-severe Chronic Hand Eczema in Adults: A 16-week Real-world Prospective Multicentre Study. [Multicenter Study]
- Delgocitinib is a pan-Janus kinase inhibitor approved for moderate-to-severe chronic hand eczema (CHE) in adults. However, real-world evidence remains limited. We prospectively evaluated 149 adult patients (mean age: 46.4 years; 60.4 % female) treated with delgocitinib for chronic hand eczema across 20 Italian dermatology centres between May and November 2025, with a four-month follow-up. Two-thi…

- Patch Test Relevance and Systemic Exposure Pathways in Eczema Patterns Suspected of Systemic Contact Dermatitis. [Journal Article]Contact Dermatitis. 2026 Oct 04. [Online ahead of print]CD
- CONCLUSIONS: Although clinically relevant contact sensitisation is frequently observed, only two of 100 patients fulfilled the study's clinical criteria for SCD. These findings support targeted patch testing and structured exposure assessment in specific eczema patterns associated with SCD. Larger prospective multicentre studies are needed to refine criteria and capture the true burden of disease.

- Tralokinumab Versus Dupilumab for the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis with Moderate-to-Severe Hand Involvement: A Matching-Adjusted Indirect Comparison. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In this anchored MAIC, tralokinumab was associated with a higher placebo-adjusted response than dupilumab, with a higher proportion achieving HECSI-90, and a significantly greater improvement in ability to perform regular daily activities versus dupilumab. Other endpoints were numerically in favour of tralokinumab. Graphical abstract and video abstract available for this article.

- D-CARE (Delgocitinib-Chronic hAnd Eczema Response Evaluation): A Retrospective, Multicenter, Real-World Study of Patients with Chronic Hand Eczema (CHE) Treated with Delgocitinib 2% Cream-Temporal Analysis of Symptom and Clinical Sign Response. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Delgocitinib 2% cream showed rapid and clinically meaningful real-world effectiveness in CHE. Inflammatory signs improved earlier than chronic structural features such as fissures and desquamation. These differential response kinetics may help clinicians interpret early partial responses and counsel patients regarding expected treatment timelines.

- Reactions to Acrylates in Dentistry and Related Factors - The First Croatian Survey Study on Reactions to Acrylates in Dentistry. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Skin lesions in dental professionals and students, particularly dental technicians, are shown to be linked to acrylate exposure in this first Croatian study. Consequently, the implementation of additional protective measures is highly recommended.

- Exploring the effects of visible atopic eczema on willingness for direct and indirect contact. [Journal Article]Skin Health Dis. 2026 Oct; 6(5):754-762.SH
- CONCLUSIONS: Visible atopic eczema significantly reduces willingness for both direct and indirect interpersonal contact, even at mild levels of severity. These findings are consistent with behavioural immune system accounts of disease-avoidance responses and suggest that stigma towards atopic eczema may be driven by perceptual and affective mechanisms. The results highlight the psychosocial burden associated with visible skin conditions and have implications for public education, stigma reduction and dermatological practice.

- Delgocitinib Cream for Chronic Hand Dermatitis: Efficacy, Safety and Clinical Application. [Review]Skin Therapy Lett. 2026 Sep; 31(5):1-4.ST
- Chronic hand dermatitis (CHD), also referred to as chronic hand eczema, is a persistent inflammatory skin disorder characterized by erythema, fissuring, scaling, lichenification, and significant pruritus and pain. The condition is often debilitating, particularly because the hands are constantly exposed to mechanical friction, detergents, irritants, and environmental stressors. Traditional treatm…
- Real-World Effectiveness and Safety of Oral Alitretinoin in Chronic Hand Eczema with Exploratory Off-Label Indications: A 10-Year Single-Center Korean Study. [Journal Article]
- Background and Objectives: Oral alitretinoin (9-cis-retinoic acid), a dual retinoic acid receptor/retinoid X receptor agonist, is approved for severe chronic hand eczema (CHE) refractory to potent topical corticosteroids but is also prescribed off-label in routine practice. Long-term real-world data on both uses are limited. We evaluated 10-year prescribing patterns, effectiveness, tolerability, …

- Exposure to tobacco smoke, concurrent short-term symptoms of respiratory, allergic, cardiovascular morbidities and health-services use among young adults in Kuwait. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study reports high prevalence of second-hand tobacco smoke exposure at home among young adults, along with high levels of respiratory and allergic morbidities. Although tobacco exposure (first and/ or secondhand) itself was not directly associated with health-services use at least once in the past year, smoking-related symptoms and ill-health conditions were significantly associated with health-care use at least once during the past year. Public health interventions aimed at reducing exposure to tobacco smoke may help decrease related morbidities and subsequent health-services use among young adults.

- Occupational Contact Dermatitis in the Post-COVID Era: From Barrier Dysfunction and Microbiome Dysbiosis to Prevention and Precision Management. [Review]
- Background/Objectives: Occupational contact dermatitis (OCD) is the most common work-related skin disease, accounting for roughly 90-95% of occupational dermatoses and falling predominantly on the hands. It is rarely dangerous yet imposes a substantial burden through impaired quality of life, lost productivity, and premature exit from affected trades. The COVID-19 pandemic intensified this burden…

- CONCLUSIONS: Patch test sensitisation was common in hand eczema patients. Polysensitisation was associated with use of cosmetics. Use of non-permeable gloves may worsen hand eczema.
