- Inhibitor development according to FVIII concentrates in previously untreated patients with severe hemophilia A: update from the PedNet registry. [Multicenter Study]J Thromb Haemost. 2026 Aug; 24(8):2857-2864.JT
- CONCLUSIONS: Inhibitor development occurred in 31.0% of PUPs, with similar incidence across SHL-rFVIII, EHL-rFVIII, and pdFVIII. Analysis of individual concentrates showed increased inhibitor risk for Kogenate FS/Helixate NexGen (SHL-rFVIII) and for the first time for Fanhdi (pdFVIII). In the absence of formal PUP studies, PedNet will continue evaluating the inhibitor risk according to individual FVIII concentrates.

- Psychometrics and applications of a novel self-report measure of emicizumab adherence: VERITASNexGen. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The VERITASNexGen is the first validated multifactorial patient-report measure of adherence designed specifically for emicizumab treatment. Results suggest excellent adherence, with only 4%-13% of participants reporting suboptimal adherence to different components of the treatment regimen. Used in conjunction with other adherence measures, VERITAS-NexGen meets a crucial need for monitoring and understanding patient adherence to emicizumab in clinical and research settings.

- Factor VIII products and inhibitor development in previously treated patients with severe or moderately severe hemophilia A: a systematic review. [Systematic Review]
- Essentials Data on product-related immunogenicity in previously treated haemophilia A patients is scarce. A systematic review and meta-analysis of all currently available evidence was conducted. The overall incidence rate was 2.06 per 1000 person-years (95% confidence interval: 1.06-4.01). Some recombinant factor VIII products were associated with increased immunogenicity.

- Factor VIII brand and the incidence of factor VIII inhibitors in previously untreated UK children with severe hemophilia A, 2000-2011. [Journal Article]
- The effect of recombinant factor VIII (rFVIII) brand on inhibitor development was investigated in all 407 severe hemophilia A previously untreated patients born in the United Kingdom (UK) between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2011. Eighty-eight (22%) had been in the RODIN study. Information was extracted from the National Haemophilia Database. Because exposure days (EDs) were not known for some …

- Recombinant clotting factor VIII concentrates: Heterogeneity and high-purity evaluation. [Journal Article]
- Factor VIII is an important glycoprotein involved in hemostasis. Insertion of expression vectors containing either the full-length cDNA sequence of human factor VIII (FLrFVIII) or B-domain deleted (BDDrFVIII) into mammalian cell lines results in the production of recombinant factor VIII (rFVIII) for therapeutic usage. Three commercially available rFVIII concentrates (Advate, Helixate NexGen and R…

- Sucrose-formulated octocog alfa: a review of its use in patients with haemophilia A. [Review]
- Sucrose-formulated octocog alfa (Kogenate Bayer, Kogenate FS, Helixate FS, Helixate nexgen) is a full-length recombinant human coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) product that is purified and formulated without the addition of human serum albumin and is stabilized with sucrose. The purification process of this formulation includes a solvent/detergent viral inactivation step. Sucrose-formulated octoco…
