- Comparative effectiveness of physiological intracytoplasmic sperm injection and intracytoplasmic sperm injection in couples affected by abnormal sperm morphology. [Journal Article]Clin Exp Reprod Med. 2026 Oct 02. [Online ahead of print]CE
- CONCLUSIONS: In this real-world Vietnamese cohort of couples affected by abnormal sperm morphology, PICSI demonstrated no significant advantage over conventional ICSI. These findings support individualized selection of sperm injection techniques rather than routine PICSI use. Future prospective studies incorporating sperm DNA fragmentation testing and sibling-oocyte designs are warranted.

- Comparing the euploidy rate between the progestin-primed and gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonist protocols in preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy: a randomized controlled trial. [Journal Article]Hum Reprod Open. 2026; 2026(4):hoag081.HR
- CONCLUSIONS: The euploidy rate of blastocysts per patient is comparable for patients using PPOS and GnRH antagonist protocols. The participants and researchers were not blinded to the treatment allocation. The sample size was powered only to detect a 10% euploidy rate difference; smaller differences cannot be excluded. Not all women completed their first transfer cycle, and outcomes from a single cycle do not represent cumulative live birth rates. Results are based solely on euploid embryo transfers, limiting generalizability to mosaic embryos. Generalization to other IVF populations or to the use of other progestins is also limited. The findings of the study support the use of PPOS for patients undergoing a freeze-all IVF cycle, whether for PGT-A or oocyte preservation.

- Transcriptomic Dynamics Associated With In Vitro Oocyte Competence in Pigs. [Journal Article]Reprod Domest Anim. 2026 Oct; 61 Suppl 3:e70265.RD
- Porcine in vitro embryo production (pIVP) would have a major impact on both livestock production and biomedical research if its efficiency-currently limited by suboptimal oocyte competence-could be improved. This study aimed to characterize transcriptional dynamics across oocyte in vitro maturation (IVM) and fertilization (IVF). Immature oocytes (IMO), mature oocytes (MO) and zygotes (ZY) produce…

- Functional and Fertility Outcomes of Two Milk-Based Extenders for Short-Term Storage of Ram Semen at 15°C. [Journal Article]Reprod Domest Anim. 2026 Oct; 61 Suppl 3:e70289.RD
- The efficiency of AI in sheep depends partly on maintaining sperm function during storage. This study compared INRA 96 and a skim milk-based formulation for storing ram semen at 15°C for 6 h, evaluating sperm quality and IVF and field fertility outcomes. INRA 96 showed higher VCL, ALH, and sperm viability after 6 h of storage. However, cleavage rate, blastocyst rate, and blastocyst cell number af…

- Neurodevelopmental Outcomes in Children Born After Fresh Versus Frozen Embryo Transfer. [Journal Article]J Am Acad Child Adolesc Psychiatry. 2026 Sep 30. [Online ahead of print]JA
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings provide reassurance regarding the long-term neurodevelopmental safety of frozen ET and ICSI compared to fresh ET and conventional IVF, respectively. The modestly increased risks of ADHD and ASD observed in all assisted reproductive technology (ART)-conceived children warrant further investigation to disentangle the effects of the ART procedures themselves from the underlying parental subfertility. Nevertheless, the minimal absolute risk increase is clinically small and remains reassuring for patients and providers considering ART.

- Redox homeostasis modulation promotes capacitation-associated events in equine sperm. [Journal Article]Res Vet Sci. 2026 Sep 28; 212:106425. [Online ahead of print]RV
- Sperm capacitation, a crucial process for successful fertilization, is modulated by reactive oxygen species (ROS) and involves molecular changes including increased membrane fluidity, cholesterol depletion, and protein tyrosine phosphorylation. Although an effective equine in vitro fertilization protocol has recently been described, its requirement for prolonged capacitation limits applicability …

- Dyslipidaemia is negatively associated with fertility, pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in women undergoing IVF treatment. [Journal Article]Reprod Biomed Online. 2026 Sep 09; 53(6):105963. [Online ahead of print]RB
- CONCLUSIONS: In normal-weight women aged <38 years, hyperlipidaemia was associated with a higher pregnancy loss rate and a lower cumulative live birth rate. Total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL-C concentrations were negatively associated with live birth rate, while HDL-C concentration was not.

- "Advanced" versus Conventional Trigger results in comparable clinical outcomes in In Vitro Fertilization Cycles. [Journal Article]Gynecol Obstet Invest. 2026 Sep 30; :1. [Online ahead of print]GO
- CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that an AT does not appear to negatively impact IVF outcomes, suggesting that this may represent an option to improve clinic efficiency while maintinaing IVF success. Our results suggest that AT can be an alternative to CT and should be considerd when patient contact needs to be limited or when clinic visit logistics should interfere with treatment start.

- CONCLUSIONS: The final instrument offers a comprehensive tool to measure the "most impactful symptom" of endometriosis. While it represents the most rigorously developed option available for this purpose, its use in clinical trials should be preceded by field testing to establish additional measurement properties and assess cultural relevance across populations.

- Growth disorders are common in in vitro fertilization (IVF)-conceived twins, but risk factors specific to dichorionic-diamniotic twins remain incompletely characterized. This study aimed to assess these risk factors. Data from in vitro fertilization pregnancies (December 2020 - November 2024) were retrospectively analyzed. Small for gestational age was defined as estimated fetal weight below the …
