- Masquerade Syndrome Presenting as Optic Neuritis and Retinitis Due to Pituitary Germinoma. [Case Reports]
- Masquerade syndrome is a collective term for various ocular diseases presenting with clinical features resembling intraocular inflammation. Delays in definitive diagnosis and treatment can not only lead to irreversible vision loss but also impact the patient's prognosis regarding survival. We report the case of a 26-year-old male patient who presented with impaired vision in the right eye, which …

- The Induction Regimen Does Not Affect Stem-Cell Collection in Adult Patients with Ewing Sarcoma. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Intensification of induction does not seem to affect the feasibility of stem-cell mobilization and the collection or graft composition in adult patients with ES. Confirmation of our findings in larger cohorts is warranted.

- Dual INI1-BRG1-Deficient Pericardial Tumor With Rhabdoid Morphology and Clinical Benefit From DNA-Damaging Therapy. [Case Reports]Genes Chromosomes Cancer. 2026 Oct; 65(10):e70179.GC
- Primary pericardial SMARCB1-deficient tumors with rhabdoid morphology are exceptionally rare. We present an adult case of a primary SMARCB1-deficient pericardial tumor showing concurrent loss of INI1 (SMARCB1) and BRG1 (SMARCA4) expression, representing the third documented tumor with co-loss of these SWI/SNF subunits across tumor sites. Targeted RNA sequencing detected no pathogenic sequence var…

- Hypophosphatemia after CAR-T cell therapy: a prospective study of inflammation, tubular injury and phosphate handling. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Hypophosphatemia is common after CAR-T therapy and was associated with systemic inflammation, urinary markers compatible with partial proximal tubular dysfunction and altered renal phosphate handling. Secondary hyperparathyroidism may have contributed in a subset of patients, whereas FGF23 did not appear to be a dominant explanatory pathway in this cohort.

- Primary Synovial Sarcoma of the Prostate: A Case Report and Review of the Literature. [Case Reports]
- Primary synovial sarcoma of the prostate is exceptionally rare. Its nonspecific presentation and often normal or low prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels may delay diagnosis. A 49-year-old man presented with lower urinary tract symptoms and gross hematuria. Digital rectal examination revealed a markedly enlarged, firm, irregular prostate. The serum PSA level was 0.34 ng/mL. Pelvic magnetic reso…

- Radiation dose de-escalation in early-stage extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma treated with contemporary concurrent chemoradiotherapy in the intensity-modulated radiotherapy era. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In early-stage ENKTL treated with IMRT-based CCRT, radiation dose escalation beyond 54 Gy did not improve survival or local disease control. These findings suggest that higher radiation doses may be unnecessary in the modern IMRT era.

- Unusual pelvic mass in a young adult: prostatic Ewing's sarcoma with distant metastases. [Case Reports]BMJ Case Rep. 2026 Sep 25; 19(9).BC
- Ewing's sarcoma is an aggressive small round cell tumour that usually arises from bone or soft tissues in children and young adults. Primary origin within the prostate is exceptionally rare, with only isolated cases documented. We describe a man in his 20s who presented with urinary obstruction, constipation and leg pain. Imaging revealed a bulky pelvic mass arising from the prostate and bilatera…

- A Single-center Retrospective Study of MIAD ± R Chemotherapy in Newly Diagnosed Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma: Safety Profiles and Clinical Outcomes. [Journal Article]Clin Lymphoma Myeloma Leuk. 2026 Aug 31. [Online ahead of print]CL
- CONCLUSIONS: The MIAD ± R regimen is a viable treatment option for newly diagnosed PCNSL with favorable efficacy and an acceptable safety profile. Further prospective trials are warranted to verify its value in the first-line standard of treatment in PCNSL.

- 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid ameliorates ifosfamide-induced nephrotoxicity by suppressing Wnt3a/IL-17A-driven inflammatory signaling, ER stress, and apoptosis while preserving ZO-1 integrity. [Journal Article]
- Ifosfamide (IFO) is an effective chemotherapeutic agent, but its clinical use is limited by dose-dependent nephrotoxicity. This study investigated the protective effects of 18β-glycyrrhetinic acid (18β-GA) against IFO-induced acute renal injury and explored the underlying molecular mechanisms. Twenty-eight male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: Control, 18β-GA, IFO, and IFO+18β-GA…

- A case report of a rare retroperitoneal sarcoma in an adolescent. [Case Reports]
- Adolescent retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS) poses significant decision-making challenges due to complex subtypes and limited molecular diagnosis. A 16-year-old male with a 13.8 cm retroperitoneal mass underwent R0 en bloc resection (with left adrenal gland). Pathology favored high-grade fibrosarcoma. He completed 5 cycles of adjuvant Ifosfamide and Doxorubicin. At 17 months post-surgery, surveillanc…

- Unexpected Diagnosis of Uterine Adenosarcoma With Sarcomatous Overgrowth After Hysteroscopic Polypectomy for a Presumed Endometrial Polyp. [Case Reports]
- Uterine adenosarcoma is a rare biphasic malignancy composed of benign epithelial and malignant stromal components. Adenosarcoma with sarcomatous overgrowth is an aggressive subtype associated with rapid progression and a poor prognosis. We report a case of uterine adenosarcoma with sarcomatous overgrowth diagnosed through the histopathological evaluation of a hysteroscopic polypectomy specimen. A…
